Faux News witch compares Iraqi elections to 1776??
Are these people without shame? The fat blond doing an interview compared it to 1776. Just how low will these people go?

3. WOW was I ever taught wrong in history class!!! No one said America
was under occupation by a foreign army, under martial law, with less than half the country able to vote for unknown candidates with unknown party platforms during a raging war!

WHY did my teachers LIE to me!!! :wow: :wow: :wow:

6. She didn't say anything hateful, dear.
What she said was honest, but it was said with sarcasm.

I'm in the South, too. One state from you - but, in this case, these elections are simply a farce. They are about as important, in the long run, as a pimple. Meaning, it's very important at the time, but once wrinkles and roseasa set in, they're not all that important at all.

5. Faux/Bushco news is a tool
of the not nice people. Faux now is touting the big turnout in Baghdad. Faux will soon declare Americans as cowards when compared to Iraqi's.

"hateful name calling". :eyes: Seems to have missed the whole point of this thread, which is not surprising, considering the "we" aspect.

15. They hate us ... sometimes it's fun to hate them back -
It's not like we are foaming at the mouth with hate.

OK, I'll do the correction for the tread starter "The husky blond doing an interview compared it to 1776."

Yeah, I think that's much more flattering. LOL

Woof! <snicker & tease>

If you were able to read it, you might understand what I was talking about. It was all about us Dems being "haters" and calling people names.

7. even for Faux News this is incredible...
I mean I want to go to bed but I keep waiting for Ben Franklin to weigh in as an analyst on how amazing things are going in Iraq. Shepard whats his name is particulary amazing. Its pretty damn obvious that ol Rubert has sent the word down that every godamn piece of news out of Iraq better be positive on his channel. Still its amazing and frightening to watch.. kind of like a bad car wreck.

10. Have the Iraqis written and endorsed a Declaration of Independence?
That's what happened in 1776.

The first presidential election in the US was in 1789. The first election of any sort in America was in 1619, to elect the Virginia Assembly.

Talkin' out her you-know-what is what she's about.

Edited on Sun Jan-30-05 03:37 AM by LynnTheDem
Now apologize, and next time be more careful who you're REPLYING TO. DEAR. ;)

When you want to reply to the original poster, you must go to the OP's post and hit reply on THEIR POST. YOU hit reply on MY post, thus replying to ME.

As you just did again, this time replying to magellan, when you meant to reply to me.

Got it now? :)

25. Welcome to George Bush' America DEAR.
Another typical "attack the poster to deflect from the REAL message" post.

The issue isn't the Fox News person's weight, it's the fact that these people have sunk to a low even I didn't think they could sink to.

1776? Do you UNDERSTAND what this person is SAYING? Do you? Do you understand what they are comparing this farce to?

Since you're so concerned and sensitive about this particular thing, how'd the TORTURE overseas and the atrocities our government has committed in the 51st State grab you DEAR?

Methinks thou doth protest too much.

27. I have a feeling they haven't even come close to hitting bottom yet
Edited on Sun Jan-30-05 05:39 AM by TheWatcher
The thing is though, comparing this to the Birth of our OWN Nation is so ridiculous, so utterly absurd, even some of the die hard Republisheep have got to be scratching their heads a little.

It is almost to the point that one day soon, Bush will approach Congress unleashing a new Budget Proposal to restudy whether or not the Earth is actually FLAT.

And what is even scarier is the amount of people that will SUPPORT IT and DEMAND IT.

One step closer to The End.

57% turnout with empty polling places. They believe the Republican base are the most gullible people in the world.
