OK, so they broke the law. On their rap sheet this hardly is noticeable. OK, so they used taxpayers money to pay the whores. The fact I'm helping pay for the bombs that are killing Iraqi children has inured me to this fact.

No, for me its the fact that we have a half trillion dollar deficit. That's right, Armstrong Williams, and this Maggie Douchebag are getting paid with money that bush* is borrowing ON MY KIDS CREDIT CARD.

Eh...its OK, I'll get used to it.

1. That the rest of the media is feigning shock and outrage
In a desperate attempt to salvage Media Inc.'s credibility.

You can bet that more of them had their hand in the till than just the three who were caught.

3. I hear ya. I bet that the majority of the recipients of the right wing
largesse got their money in untraceable ways. The current spate of losers just wasn't that smart.

5. The fact that * and gang are essentially letting us
know that they've done this and "so what". They think they are above the law and openly flaunt their wrongdoings.

6. The media's unwillingness to see...
...the connection to the larger problem. They will let Bush get away with blaming it on individual departments, when the orders (or the appointees responsible) must have come from the White House.

7. just means you can't believe ANYTHING you read
hard to sort the Press-Puppies from the Payola-Pundits from the Lap-Dogs

At the moment we have 3 confirmed Payola-Pundits -- there are probably more, but they have yet to be dragged out from their kennels.
When one puppy poops on the floor -- the whole litter gets blamed.

What's the answer? Full disclosure of all finances held by the Press-Puppies? Can't believe that either -- if they can fake and spin the news, they can fake and spin their finances too -- and then blame it on Clinton.

Can't believe the president. Can't believe Congress. Can't believe the Supreme Court. They are all motivated by political power, control and re-election.

Now we can't believe the "free" press -- who are willingly drinking the kool-aid, collecting paychecks or writing as they are told out of fear of losing their jobs.

Just as the revelations of Nixon's lies shook our faith in the presidency -- the Payola-Pundits have done the same with our faith in the news.

It's all the news that's fit to print -- for the right price.

10. what I hate
I think this whole thing is part of hanky panky by the media, don't they have a code of ethics or something?

My number 1 gripe is
that this swift boat crap is still afloat, and we know that it's been proven wrong, look how CBS was beaten down over not presenting
verified documentation on a true story, no one is being punished for pushing this Swift Boat crap which is obiviously a lie & has been proven false, when a reporter is discovered to be accepting bribes and/or presenting what is known to be false information, are there criminal charges or any real punishment for this? I think that anyone who is still pushing that swift boat crap should have the hammer of ethics slammed down on them so hard that it will wake up the other bobbleheads.

11. The worst thing is that the public debate over important policy matters is
driven not just by the profit motive of the companies who want the policies passed, but by the profit motive over the people who mediate the discussions and who own the media within which the discussion is mediated.

No wonder Americans are so uninformed.

MSNBC is owned by a companyt that makes weapons of war. The publishing companies make money off of public schools.

Then you have the people who are presented by the media, and they make money when Republicans are in power just for agreeing with Republicans.

How in the world is a voter supposed to have an informed opinion about anything?

14. AND in the case of Williams -HE ALREADY AGREED WITH THEM
Yeah someone found *an* article that wasn't 100% behind NCLB but for the most part (especially after the first check cleared) Williams always supported it. That MORON Bush paid someone who he already had in his pocket. I guess they don't learn about that in the Country Clubs.
