Kerry on Meet the Press
Russert (lead in)"what would John Kerry do about Iraq? Social Security? we will talk to him and also ask him about his future and the future of the Democratic party"

Hey Russert did Kerry cover what he would do in the campaign? Were you not paying attention or did you not care?

1. Of course not.
It was far too important to point out things like he called Mary Cheney a lesbian. :eyes:

5. Say what you will about John Kerry
But watching him on MTP only underscores how he's so much smarter than * it's not even funny. Instead of 4 years of listening to this intelligent and articulate man we get the incoherent ramblings of an idiot legacy frat boy.

7. Clearly-also the war hero still has to defend himself
Russert actually took a page right from Hannity and asked about Kerry signing Form 180 no mention of W not signing it either.

Kerry defended that he WAS on the Cambodia border in December 1968 and DID go into Cambodia on another occasion it was just that he blended the two together.

32. And, the reason this keeps on happening is Kerry's reluctance...
If he had the (political) balls to call these folks for what they are, the whole issue of would be put to rest. Instead, he uses soft-spoken nuance to address the false claims. Reason and well-thought out retorts didn't work for Gore when they attacked his honesty, and this same method of response IS NOT working for Kerry.

the real crisis is 40 million people without healthcare.

20. Blame Bush for not following the IWR. Why let Bush off the hook?
If the IWR was followed properly, it would have prevented invasion because of its emphasis on weapons inspections.

26. YOU missed the point. Resolutions are to PREVENT war through applied
guidelines.

Keep blaming the IWR and those who supported it, and you are letting that oaf of office off the hook for his decisions.

29. Wrong. They were prepared to use the UN resolution from 1991
that allowed military force if Iraq was in violation of its guidelines. Iraq was already in violation, since, at the time, there were no weapons inspections allowed since 1998.

Blame the IWR and you let Bush OFF THE HOOK.

Kerry, said Yes, of course.

THE QUESTION should not be whether WE ARE SAFER...

It should be ARE THE IRAQIS SAFER WITHOUT SADDAM?

I would say NO to that!!

He had a lot of respect for her "life journey" but she continually failed since 2001.

MTP interview only reinforced what I suspected all along...Kerry is a loser. If he had a BACKBONE, he would have come out strong against the swiftboat liers when Russert threw him the opportunity. No one likes a political pussy.

40. Have you ever considered
that when you use "pussy" as in insult that you devalue all women?

How can we ever expect girls to develop a good self-esteem if we continue to send that message?

It's up to us to shape the world we live in. Consider using "coward" or "courage" instead of "pussy" or "balls".

Thanks for your consideration.

33. Russert, why don't you ask Bush questions about Iraq?
Timmy still asking about Kerry's Vietnam record. "were you in Cambodia on Christmas Eve?" Who gives a flying leap? Why not ask Bush were the fuck he was for the 6 years he was supposedly in the Guard. Oh that's right, Bush gets a pass on everything. This is a good day to avoid the "news", wait for Jon Stewart tomorrow night.

36. I'll tell you why he won't
1. Russert can't get past the Secret Service and Bush's own handlers, including Karl Rove, without permission.

2. If Russert ever threw those questions at Bush, he'd be given the Karl Rove treatment, just like Dan Rather and the author of Fortunate Son.

39. So Kerry can be smart some of the time, Dean for DNC is a smart move
I give him some credit for that promotion, but I still am not sure of Kerry. I give him points for the health care for all children as well. I hope he keeps moving in the right direction but he needs to become stronger in our true Democratic values, start support withdrawal from Iraq. This action would score him big points with me. It is time he jump on the band wagon with the rest of us.
