She's on Stephenopolous(sp?). She's breathless and soooo excited. And she said 'better than could be expected' 'Our forces are there under a United Nations Mandate' She's a fucking LIAR.

Better than expected:
We have been downplaying this all week, so that no matter what happened it would look good for Bush. ONLY 36 Iraqis killed and only 14 attacks is pretty darn good. Don't worry about turnout, just remember one thing: it was better than expected.

3. I thought her first order of business was to go to Iraq to show support?
When is her trip to Iraq? The Iraqs will welcome her with flowers and open arms.

5.  Condi, you really shoulda waited a bit.
What a fool she'll look like when the results come out and she finds out that "72% better than expected" bullshit refers only to the 17% population, the Kurds. Up in northern Iraq.

And the insurgency will just carry on as it has been.

Good tho; the more they're shown up for being wrong wrong wrong, the more likely the moran rightwingnuts will get it; bushCartel are ALWAYS WRONG.

6. I seem to remember expectations being clearly lowered during the runup
to the elections. And many commented at the time that this was so that people like Rice could today make comments just like this. How many Iraqis dead so far today?

10. Jennings really put it to her-Condi"but many Sunnis WANT to vote"
that was her response to his pointing out that the turn out has varied from location to location and that many Sunni's think the election is fraudulant while under US occupation.

Condi later went on to say "the reason we went in there was for our own safety" -yes she actually said that.

13. One thing that has been ignored
It seems to me that the true test of "success" in Iraq will come when the new government decides what stand to take on Israel. I'm certain the Iraqi government will support a Palestinian state and that's to be expected. However, unless it also recognizes Israel and offers diplomatic ties I don't see how Bush et al could consider it to be "mission accomplished". Further, what will Bush and Rice's response be if the new charter goes as far as calling for Israel to cease to exist?

Note: I looked for an international forum to post this question, but didn't find one that fit.

17. Good point-I am also curious how well socialist/communist will do
Wouldn't that be ironic. Dipsh*t W invades a country and it turns out that the people initiate a dominoe effect.

BTW- no one knows who they are actually voting for which could make it REAL easy for W's puppet government to be put into place.

to cover her lies that got us into this war, and the shifting lies about 'democracy' and 'freedom' that our occupying forces are killing and dying to defend.

Please tell me she didn't trot out that old "resolution 1441" bullshit, because apparently Hussein wasn't even in violation of that.

24. Everytime they speak they are trying to rewrite history.
That is precisely what she said. We threw the UN weapons inspectors out and told them to go fuck themselves, then we set about to tell the world the the UN was insignificant, outdated, out of touch, irrelevent......and only 13 voted against her. Shameless.

Absolutely shameless. It's bad enough that we've got liars and criminals in power. It is disgusting that we have NO opposition to them to speak of.

27. The world knows of her lies
How the heck is she as the head of diplomatic relations ever going to have any credibility whatsoever? Unless, she sees her job as telling the world how things are going to be run from now on.

She will never be able to negotiate anything. Why would anyone believe her.

At least Colin Powell HAD an opinion. Condi is an empty echo chamber.
Too bad she doesn't use her well trained brain. But you are right, she's DOA in the diplomatic world.
