U.S. Soldiers going around asking people why they're not voting
<snip>

As polls opened across the country, early signs showed a poor turnout of voters in Mosul. US soldiers were seen driving around city blocks asking why residents were not voting.

9. As soon as they turn the phones on again.
Then just wait until the Iraqis get a piece of that selling by phone.

6. That's like what the Soviets did in the Baltic states
only they told people that if they didn't vote, they wouldn't get a ration card. The vote had only one option on it: "I want Latvia/Lithuania/Estonia to join the Soviet Union."

Or there was the Salvadoran election of 1984, when the range of candidates ran from right-wing to outright fascist, and the government told people that anyone who didn't vote would be considered a guerilla and liable to be shot on the spot.

7. But -- but -- but -- the Soviets
COUNTED the votes.
ALL of them.

Even in El Salvador, they counted the ALL votes.
And they had a paper trail as well.

10. I saw a photo reportedly from Fallujah
A lot of men lined up inside barbed wire--they couldn't leave that line if they wanted to.

If the truth ever comes out, we may find out that people were not just asked, but forced to "vote."
