Republicans Prepare Anti-Abortion Agenda For 109th Congress-Scripps Howard
<snip>

WASHINGTON - Congressional Republican leaders are aiming for passage this year of legislation that would make it a federal crime for anyone other than a parent to take a minor across a state line for an abortion.

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., said approval of the measure, favored by President Bush, was one of his legislative priorities for 2005.

And...

Republican congressional leaders say they hope to win passage of the state-line measure, which the House has adopted three times but which has failed in the Senate. With Republicans holding a 55-seat majority in the Senate, prospects favor passage this year, Frist said.

Less certain are the chances for legislation proposed by Brownback that would require doctors and other personnel in abortion clinics to inform women beyond their 20th week of pregnancy that an abortion could inflict pain on the fetus and that drugs are available to relieve fetal pain.

One of his legislative priorities for 2005!?!?! Right up there with dismantling the New Deal, no doubt!

Ya gotta just love that first one. Now let me get this straight...

If drunken daddy knocks-up one of his daughters, he can toss her in the car, quickly run over the state line, and have her 'taken care of'???

Lord... I swear... Abortion and Gay Marriage are Republican Viagra. And as usual, they are thinking with the wrong head!

:wtf:

3. Fetal Pain
I saw, a while back on Cspan congressional hearings on PBA, a woman testify that the fetus she was carrying had no brain, only a brain stem. Would that "baby" feel pain? I don't think so. Also ha dNO CHANGE TO LIVE EITHER.
