WTF is up with Repukes, making mountain out of molehills?(RANT!!!)
They keep on trying and even succeeding to create problems, and then try to fix them, when the problem didn't exist in the first place!!!!

Tort Reform: WTF is up with that, I ain't a damned lawyer, but I always heard that JUDGES get to decide if cases have merit or not, not law makers. Instead of killing two birds with one stone, they shoot an RPG at the tree, and pick up the 100 carcasses that fall out.

Welfare Reform: I always heard that 90% of Welfare reciepients don't stay in the program more than 2 years, and many are disabled and white, never did buy into Reagan's crap about that. What the fuck did this freaking law solve anyways, Welfare, at least the part for poor people(gotta leave the middle class alone, till the time comes to leave them high and dry too) takes up what? 2% if that of the budget, where was the problem again? BTW: Clinton gets some blame for this as well.

Partial Birth Abortion Ban(Their words): WTF was up with this shit? D+X procedure is only performed when one of two conditions are met. First, endangering the Woman's health or life, second is when the fetus will be non-viable outside the womb or is already dead. So what the hell is this supposed to accomplish? Adding burdens that cannot be enforced anyways. Seriously, how the hell can this be enforced, having docs monitored by Operation Rescue(Terrorist Organization)?

Gay Marriage Ban: This also makes absolutely no sense, its about someone else's life, not yours. WTF is up with these peeping toms anyways? I figured they would want gays to experience their suffering in matrimonial hell since that is pretty much how they view it anyways. Why restrict it at all?

SS Reform: OK, this one absolutely makes no sense, as far as I can remember, they have been crying wolf on this point, and it has been and still remains solvent. WTF is up with the Repukes on this, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, its called common fucking sense. If they get their way on this, hell, you have a busted back, and you are homeless, kicked out on the street, and then the Repukes will shoot you in the head for not being productive. OK I'm exagerrating (I think :))

I know that Repukes aren't rational, and use little to no common sense, but for crying out loud, why don't the Dems stand up to BS like this. It isn't logical at all to try to argue from a moral standpoint, because its just a bunch of stupid shit, just call it some stupid shit, and argue from common sense. Repukes have shit for brains, I swear to the Gods they do. OK done ranting!

2. Exactly
Whenever you question why a repuke does something, first recall that they voted for Bush, probably twice. It then becomes clear that anything is possible.

3. Burning down the Reichstag created a problem where none existed
and it was solved by invading Poland. That's how fascist governments do things. Welcome to the new America, in case you didn't know.

4. They create crises, use the media to spread the word, implement

their own right-wing, "smaller government" (in actuality, corporate welfare) solution...and everyone is happy. Their corporate sponsors are richer, and the stupid public is none the wiser, and thinks they have been "rescued" from some terrible crisis.
Bush has done this in every case you mentioned.
I personally believe he, or his minions did that in 9/11 as well. And that's my tinfoil hat 2 cents worth. :tinfoilhat:

5. I believe 9/11 is a crime of ommission and negligence....
purposeful or not, I have no idea, but it is easier to turn your head away from a crime you knew was going to happen, than to participate directly. That way it is harder to get caught. Sad but true.

6. Yes! I agree - I think they create these crises in order to
keep the voters going all nuts about various tempests in teapots while they get a greater and greater grip on money and power.

It is cynical in the extreme - they KNOW that people are gonna go bananas over this cause or that, meanwhile behind the scenes they are doing Goddess knows what.

Yet, we really have no choice but to fight when they threaten core values, human rights and Social Security being truly key to our nation's well-being, IMHO; and on the right, they MUST try to voice THEIR values - "moral" and religious values - so the Republicans play divide and conquer with the electorate.

IT works, too, dammit. Look at how angry and sad and divided we've become.

Those are my thoughts.

7. Next election cycle look for "their" cause of National ID;s
Edited on Sun Jan-30-05 07:57 PM by EC
that's where they are headed they'll say they are needed to identify Illigels and to stop "voting fraud". SS is because they are pissed that that money is not in the capitalistic system, they are running out of liquid assets to invest, so they look for new sources..i.e. Social Security...and of course we're easy prey for the professional investors...

on edit: Kinda reminds me of Fox, the high moral company, they create their own controversies, by putting on rauchy programming on their entertainment channel and then complaining about that type of program on their "news" channel...

9. Ah, just the kind of ranting I was looking for tonight!
Thanks!

And I totally agree.

Sad part is, republicans don't follow any sort of human logic or human understanding of anything.

10. Do you think there are ANY Republicans we can talk to?
I'm beginning to despair. Everything I try to say to them results in a major hissy fit, rage, denial - or worse, in the case of the environment, a big SO WHAT?

It must be nice to be immortal and enroute to Heaven:) Or worse yet, not being religious, just totally jaded and uncaring and having enough financial security to drug yourself on STUFF. After all, having STUFF means you must be superior, right?

Who needs those pesky wolves, polar bears, mustangs, poor folks, Democrats, rain forests -

AAAARRRGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
