FR posters bash Islam (say it's incompatible with freedom)

"Most Freepers are entirely aware that Islam is not the religion of peace. They are also aware that Bush sometimes has to make gestures of this kind to avoid alienating, any more than they already are, the billion Muslims who populate the world."

"The Iraqi people are anti-semtic hate filled Muslims which explains why they refuse to recognize Israel and allow Iraqi Jews to vote.
Why are we supporting this government?"

"Everyone with a brain realizes that the reference by President Bush to "the Koran" was merely a sop to the Muslims. Anyone who dips into the Koran comes out with blood on his hands and nonsense in his brain."

"I absolutely agree...many of the Islamic Iraqis are peaceful, in fact, I would think that only a minority of Muslims are violent. However, in my post, I wanted to stress the fact that when you analyze the doctrine of Islam, at its core, it promotes violence. I do realize the distinction between pure doctrine, and those who profess to follow doctrine."

1. My reply to the freepers...
If Islam is incompatible with freedom, explain to me how Christianity is such a perfect fit.

3. "blood on his hands and nonsense in his brain"
Kinda reminds me of another book. Can't think of the title at the moment, but let me swing by my local motel and I'm sure to find a copy of it.

5. But doesn't the scapegoat have to be more of a villain.
Osama was a villain, but he got away.

Saddam was a villain, but we found him in a "spider hole"

We've a couple of minor villains... Sadr etc.

But who's next?

9. Oh really, freepers?
"Anyone who dips into the Koran comes out with blood on his hands and nonsense in his brain."
My own little spin on this:
Anyone who votes and supports Bush has the blood of American soldiers on their hands.

10. "Most Freepers are entirely aware that Islam is not the religion of peace"
All religions have the potential to be peaceful...even Christianity.

A relative handful of Muslims killed some people...on their own, and on their own dime.
How many Christian soldiers are out killing Muslims now at their Christian president's behest, the approval of the Congress, and at the taxpayers' expense and implicit approval?

On the big scale, Islam is presenting itself as the more peaceful religon in comparison, IMO.

11. I'd like to see how fast Xtians would return to Old Testament ideals...
... if they were forced to the bottom of the economic scale, and had their culture driven under by economic imperialists.
