Military School Costume Party Mocks Gays & Others
http://www.365gay.com/newscon05/01/013105militarySchool.htm

Despite a public outcry from gay, Jewish and African American civil rights groups, Virginia Military Institute will allow its own students to investigate a party at which some cadets dressed in drag while others wore Nazi uniforms and still others were in black face.

Pictures of the Halloween party only came to light on weekend when it was learned they had been posted on the Internet.

One picture shows three cadets in VMI uniform shirts giving the Nazi salute to the camera. Two of the students are wearing swastika armbands and one had a Hitler-style mustache.

2. I can't consider dressing in drag
in the same league as dressing like a Nazi or wearing black face.

All gays don't dress in drag. I've always thought of it as more about sex than sexuality.

Wearing black face and dressing like a Nazi is despicable.

4. if you're doing to make fun of people then yes
it's in the same category

most straight guys dressing as women is just horrible

most of them have Dolly Parton sized chests

it's not a good thing, as Martha would say

5. That's true!
I remember in high school when the football team dressed in drag for some fundraiser. It was a lot of fun actually because they were so stupid about it.:)

The spirit with which it's done has something to do with it, I guess. It can be done with a spirit of meanness which it likely was considering the other choices for their derision.

6. Awwwwww... They're just good old boys having fun
Disgusting. And people wonder how we got to Abu-Ghraib. There's a total, very ugly dissonance rearing its head in this new Amerika.
