Simple math tells you that it is only 6% of the original tax cut ($1.35 Trillion)

4. That's $87 Billion PLUS $75 Billion, thank you.
For a total so far of $162 Billion for the first year. (You are forgetting the first $75 bill. granted Bush and his minions on the invasion).

And if you believe it will only be $87 billion when Halliburton and Bechtel get through with it, I have watches and swampland to show you.

7. I can't get to "costofwar.com" right now...
...But I'd be willing to be it's gone past $75 billion already.

My bet for this year: $225-$250 billion, at the very least. If I were the UN, I'd tell us to go pack sand (we seemed to want sand so badly anyway.)

hyuck.

9. its enough to give all Americans $298.00
87,000,000,000 / 292,024,856 = 297.91984556273524881046427089069

US Population
http://www.census.gov/population/www/index.html

if you add the 71,000,000,000 to it
158,000,000,000 / 292,024,856 = 541.04983447025481967877419311184
Per person

What we have is a TAX INCREASE of $541.00 per person in the united states. Of Course we all know that really only the Middle Class will be expected to Pay so WAG of 30% of the population being Middle class

158,000,000,000 / 87,607,456.8 = 1803.4994482341827322625806437061
So as a wag for everone makeing from 25k to 75k a year we get a Tax Raise of 1,803.50

I beleive that any number as it applys to the US budget should always be written with all the zeros it gives a better feel for how large thet number actually is.
