If Israel, with putatively the world's most effective (?), or surely the most intense, security apparatus and about the size of Massachussetts can't prevent suicide bombings, how the hell could the USA, with 10,000 miles of borders hope to?

Treating the symptoms won't cure the disease.

1. What is the disease and what is the cure?

We have been attacked by Muslim terrorists since at least the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis and the 1982 Beirut bombing - covering a span of over twenty years and five administrations. In your mind, what exactly is the "disease" and what exactly is the "cure?"

Surely you are not suggesting that we abandon all efforts to protect ourselves from future acts of terrorism.
