Lieberman is on a roll!
He has managed to get booed at just about every televised event he participates in.

He'd make a really good VP for the chimp.

1. Hah! I just posted the same thing in another thread!
You noticed that too? How can anyone be so dense as to not understand you are not wanted when you are the only one booed?

He can't leave soon enough.

2. What is his expense-to-earning ratio now?
Last I heard - he was spending $1.75 to raise $1. Is that still the case?

3. Don't laugh - it could have happened
If the 2000 election had been thrown to the House and Senate, that is probably what would have happened, with the Republican House "electing" Bush president and Gore breaking the tie vote for Lieberman in the 50-50 senate.

4. Not so
I believe the Dems controlled more state delegations at the time in 2000, so Gore would have won the House. Each state has one vote in that case rather than majority vote of the House. Correct me if I'm mistaken, I haven't consulted the Constitution just now.

5. No, the Republicans would have beat us by two states
Or possibly one, because Connie Morella (R-MD) said she was probably going to vote for Gore because an overwhelming majority of her constituents (Prince George's County) did, which would have thrown Maryland's delegation to us. But they still would have had one more state at least, and more if any Democrats in Republican districts did as Morella said she might do and vote with their constituents.
