Journalist now shaken by the Gannon outing are getting nervous. They now seem to be wondering to themselves are they next(which I see as a good thing). It seems to me by listening to them that they are about to declare war on us and other blogs. They choose to ignore the major question of how this guy got credentials to lob softballs to Bush and Scotty. They rather question our motives and our effectiveness. It now seems the major media are fighting for there lives, they fear the blogs are better at reporting than they are.

Witness Rep. Slaughter's and Senator Lautenberg's letters to * and McClellan demanding documentation and answers. Witness Pitt getting election fraud info from Rep. Conyers before it is released to MSM.
MSM are dinosaurs. We are the new media.

3. The the guy that was on Arron Brown did a pretty good job. |
|
Edited on Thu Feb-10-05 10:20 PM by notadmblnd
I think he was from Americablog.com? he got all the points out despite Arron trying to steer this as a "have they gone too far" situation. the guy said the bloggers looked into his professional life not his personal life and that they were sorted of invited to do so by Gannon.
Oh and he did get his point in about what part the White house played in this, How the white house knows who get a pass. Even brought up someone who had been suspended after she asked questions the admin didn't like.

6. Brown was clearly uncomfortable |
|
And couldn't wait to get to Charles and Camilla. This story, along with the 52 9/11 warnings makes me wonder if we're about to have a week focusing on the Pope's funeral. Stranger things have happened.

18. Aaron was thinking he was going to get something entirely different |
|
Americablog has been "outing" prominent politicians who take an anti-gay stance but who are themselves gay. I think Brown was hoping for a defense of this tactic applied to reporters whose politics are similarly hypocritical. Instead John from Americablog refused to let Aaron frame the issue. He stuck to the important facts: the preferential treatment of Gannon, the possibility of WH involvement, and the fact that Gannon had access to that confidential memo on Plame.

5. The reporters I know comb the net. But the managment types |
|
have a stake in putting the net down, like their jobs.
Aaron Brown just did a pretty good segment on the Gannon story. A guy from Salon and a guy from Americablog.com. (Sorry, I didn't recognize the names.) The latter brought up the larger question of how someone who sprang up from a shady past got access to the President and to CIA docs. He said he thinks the WH is behind this somehow. Aaron Brown didn't have a heart attack but looked close at times. :)

and that's how Jeff got the credentials--heven though he invented the site like 5 days before he got the creds!
Scotty is lying!

If you want to know the truth about the whole "Jeff Gannon" story look at the source of the money that funded "Talon News" and "Jeff Gannon".
The fact that the main stream media is getting nervous is suspicious. I wonder what that means?

8. Interesting point...I think they are worried what dirt |
|
bloggers will find in many of these 'journalists' closets. Who did they accept money from, what convictions do they have, what porn sites do they frequent? I'm fine with investigating their personal lives. Most refuse to act like real journalists so I see them as hacks.

17. because they are becoming OBSOLETE |
|
and if they "declare war", then they only draw more into the blogshere to see what the fuss is about. It will only be to their own detriment as more and more of the public learns the truth. That's when the mobs of frenzied, angry citizens start hanging up MSM "journalists" by their balls.

24. It's pretty clear that most of MSM's spin on this is... |
|
...how victimized Guckert is by the evil Liberal bloggers - that his personal life is NOT fair game. Witness Wolf and Howie's (Kurtz) performance a few nights ago.
It's quite troubling that NOT ONE STORY written about the Guckert affair has mentioned Valerie Plame...:grr:
