Senator Tom Carper (D-DE) Thinks that Corporations can't get a fair shake
When asked to explain why he voted to restrict Class Action Lawsuits to Federal Court, Carper said:

"to make sure when companies are called on the carpet, when they are involved in a class action litigation, they're in a court, in a courthouse with a judge where the companies have a fair shake, where the odds, the decks aren't stacked against them,"

Yes, notwithstanding their virtually unlimited financial resources, and inordinate amount of political influence, big business just can't get ahead in this country.

I'm sure they're glad to know that Tom Carper's looking out for them.

7. I am by no means defending his statement, but he is from
Delaware - you know, home of the incorporations - where Chancery Court rules the day. It would be in the best interest of the State of Delaware for him to take that position.

Again, I don't agree with the statement, but I can see why someone from Delaware would make it.

10. Exactly!
My first thought as to why he would make this ludicrous statement.

11. Put him on notice: no more DINOs. Even if he feels "obligated"
to vote for the corporate enabling act, his other votes are suspect as well.
