CNN: Pentagon "Backs off" Drone Claim

I'm surprised this hasn't been picked up.

Right after 8 o'clock Central time, CNN lead with a story that the pentagon was backing off its claim about the infamous "drones of death" that were supposed to be able to carry chemical weapons. The pentagon now says that it appears the drones were meant for "recon" because of the small fuel supply.

NO SHIT SHERLOCK!

Add this to the basket of lies that Bushco used to get us into an unnecessary invasion and an expensive misadventure!

If it is, how is he going to "stand by" his comments (lies) to the UN now?

6. Well, the Bush Adminstration

hasn't really backed down on the WMD claim; elements have fallen apart, but the over all story they are still sticking too. THey still claim that Iraq had WMDs and were prepared to use them; I suppose what that means is that they had chemical weapons.

Powell will stand by his story because he's a good soldier--I disagree with him, but I don't think he's going to turn and run when times get tough for President Bush.
