That any pundit/newspaper/journalist/editorial that is critical of Dems doesn't make them right wing? Or even dare I say that any pundit/newspaper/journalist/editorial that might have some praise for republicans is not necessarily right wing?

I have my opinions and they are unfailingly left/liberal/dem. But I know plenty of people in my life who hold certain opinions that I disagree with who are not right wing republicans.

I just find these blanket condemnations which seem to sway with the wind to be quite perplexing. Whether it's about Howard Stern or Snopes or the NY Times or Keith Olberman or any of the 1,000,000,000 things posted on here each day that one day praise someone/something as fair minded and great and the next day when theat same person/thing has a different tack, condeming them as a right wing propaganda arm.

The fact is that the majority of americans aren't partisan dems or republicans and hold any of an inumerable combination of opinions on the inumerable things there are to have opinions on. Some we will agree with some we will not. But when we start dismissing entities that are by and large centrist we lose a lot of credibility.

1. No
You're right. My sympathies are certainly more with the D's, but in many ways I'm a political voyeur. It's more fun to watch than sports, porn or reality TeeVee. I often find myself rooting for this or that D, not because I really think they're so great, but because I enjoy watching them infuriate people I consider assholes.

2. It is a way of countering the endless charges of "Liberal Media"
When one is on the defensive they will bring up any and all evidence to support their case. It is just that the evidence is so overwhelming in proving the lie of Liberal Media.

3. Criticizing a Democrat doesn't automatically make someone
"right wing."

I do think the dubunking Snopes provided about the shrub resume email was pathetic. Does that make them right wing? Not necessarily, however, I no longer consider them a reliable source for debunking.

4. I'm with you, but it goes the other way too
it's just as frustrating to see people embrace someone like Tweety, who actually IS an unredeemable whore, when he occasionally throws the dems a bone.
