I've never started a thread before, so I hope I'm doing this right.

I've noticed recently that the tone of candidate discussions has risen considerably. For most, it seems to have moved beyond the "F*** anybody who isn't my candidate" line to a serious discussion where people are stating their views and listening to the views of others.:toast:

Maybe as a community of people that man coulter thinks are traitors, we're coming together and realizing that the only TRUE enemy is the cheyney bush junta. :puke:

That which unites us is MUCH greater than that which divides us. :grouphug:

I think there has been an informal coalescing of the progressives
everywhere. It's almost like a spontaneous think tank to make up

2. We got a bigger fight to win in the end

Everybody can bicker, piss and moan all they want, but when it comes November '04 we all have to come together. My opinion is bashing gets regressive in a hurry, but healthy debate opens minds and creates positive dialogue. Nobody will ever convince me to change my vote by insulting my candidate(Kucinich), but if they can win me over in a positive discussion then so be it. I like all of our candidates for a variety of reasons. When it comes showtime, I'll be voting for a democrat and proud to do so.

Sure, we all rip each others candidates, however,in the next year the issue will be settled after a couple good dust ups and then we have to ride it out and beat the Chimp.

In the meantime, I like all of the announced candidates (sans Lieberman) because each exposes Americans to Democratic principles. It is my hope that each candidate's best ideas are
recognized and promoted in the Democratic Party platform.

I like what ech of them is saying. My big fear with Lieberman is that he would be sooo gentlemanly in a debate with whistle-ass that he would let him get away with any lie he told. He did that with Cheyney & my wife and I nearly fell out of our chairs. :silly:

I think that a platform melding all of the good ideas would be a winner.
