I was shocked, but then i wasnt. Besides the honorable Pinochet, who only killed communists, Hugo Chavez was dictator...but ignore the fact that he was elected with 56% of the vote and didnt abolish the democratic process and declare himself dictator. He is evil, as we can see when we go to the gas pumps!

You didn't know about Hugo Chavez? Oh' damn it; DU has been falling down on the job then.

Just for future reference, if you ever read or hear about a foreign government that leans left, or if the leader of a country chock full of natural resources decides to NATIONALIZE its resources, you wait for our government to soon start mumbling & grumbling about the illegitimacy of its leadership.

When Chavez decided to nationalize oil, our government followed the predictable pattern of maligning him, siding with the rightwing of Venezuela by giving them a wink & a nod. The our inept media dutifully published WH press releases about the country and pretended it had done it's duty to the American public.

It's the black & brown people of Venezuela, the poor people, the downtrodden & oppressed who support Chavez. It's the rich business owners (suprise!) who do not like Chavez and who do not make up a majority of the country.

3. Wow, those peeps are nuts. As long as a dictator lets them keep their guns

and doesn't regulate the market then they have no problem with dictatorships. Even dictatorships that torture, murder, maim, pick people up in the middle of the night on a tip, or whatever. Just as long as they keep their guns and the dictator doesn't regulate the corporations.
