I recommend writing all representatives and senators and tell `em what I told mine after I got a copy of the DSEA: "Don't try to amend this legislation, don't try to modify it to 'make it better.' Kill it. Drive a stake through its heart for good measure. It's dangerous to everyone."

... but its working name was the Domestic Security Enhancement Act, and mostly built on the framework of the Patriot Act, with a few new nasty twists.

It's anyone's guess what they're going to hand Congress this time. My guess is that it will be worse than the draft DSEA, so by the time it's trimmed back, it will be what they wanted.
