Pols' office building torched by arsonist

An arsonist set fire early Tuesday to an Edgewater building containing an AIDS advocacy center and the offices of several politicians, including Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.).

A CTA motorman in a train on the Red Line spotted smoke coming from the roof of the building at 5533 N. Broadway about 5:46 a.m. and called 911, officials said.

An arsonist had poured gasoline down a drain on the roof and set it on fire, said Tom Ahern, a spokesman for the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. A plastic gasoline container and a duffel bag were found nearby.

I expect more violence as we get closer to the 2004 election.

I also expect open revolt should freedom prevail and a Democrat win through the election even with everything stacked against them from the media to the methods for tabi-ulating votes.

Violence and the threat of violence is all the fascists have.

they would have termed it terrorism. She is a very courageous and outspoken leader. I'm sure this will not intimidate her.
