23. Wishful thinking
Dean's camp is acting like he has the nomination sewed up. A little premature, I'd say.

that's the way that Clark would bring all sorts of attention to the Democrats.

9. I really hope so
I think he would make more of an impact at a VP, I don't think he would win to nomination. A Dean/Clark ticket would be unbeatable IMHO.

11. He hasn't been putting off "making a decision" all this time...
JUST to announce that he intends to play second fiddle to Dean.

It's just an assumption a lot of Deanies like to make.

In all likelihood, he'll be in the race for the number one spot - now, if Dean was to win the nomination, I wouldn't rule out Clark joining as his running mate. Or, for that matter, Dean joining Clark as a running mate.

It sounds good to me either way, it's just far too early to make any predictions.

NO NO NO
Clark will run as president. I'm getting irritated the Dean camp is already picking a running mate - we've got a long way to go - the last time I checked, Dean hadn't won the nomination.

Please, stop the madness.

Clark has no intention of being VP.

25. Why did you say the Dean camp planted the story?
Where's the source material showing that the Dean campaign said that? I think it was a press fabrication. If you're going to hit multiple threads making this accusation, could you please back it up?

18. RE: Clark
From what I know about the man, I like him...But I still don't know much about him.

Won't the Bushistas hammer Dean for skiiing in Vermonth during the Vietnam War? Of course, George aWol deserted his Texas post in the war, but the dumbass (yes, I said it) military still loves him because he played dress-up and put on that flight suit. Mona Charen (R-bitch needs to get laid) said Kerry was a hypocrite because he's proud of his Vietnam service yet protested the war after returning stateside and threw someone else's medals (not his own) onto the Nixon White House lawn. I don't trust Kerry (Skull & Boner). LIEberman is a DINO (DEM in name only). He had his head so far up Arthur Anderson's ass that he has zero credibility. Plus, I can never forgive him for allowing Evil Dick Cheney to claim during their debate that Halliburton never made a dime off the gov't (when that's where nearly all their revenue comes from)--well that and the $73 mil in contracts that Dick signed with Saddam Hussein.

Sharpton/Braun/Kucinich??? LOL! Yeah, right. Too liberal, and too black (Kucinich is not black but he might as well be with his poor record as Cleveland's mayor). Plus, Americans are superficial. Who was the last ugly man elected president? Nixon? Lincoln? Edwards and Gephardt. Hate to say it--But no frickin' way.

Bob Graham - maybe, but the Pugs in Florida hate him now because he deigned to take on *.

So I will continue to back Dean. I'm seeing a lot more Dean bumper stickers in St. Louis--and Gephardt is my Congressman. I like Gephardt, I've worked on his campaign before--but he's boring and he blew it when he backed the Chimp RE: Iraq which allowed the Republicans to keep the House and regain the Senate--though, if not for two "mysterious" plane crashes, the Dems would still hold the Senate.

*Tin foil hat alert*

19. calling a candiate ugly
how very courteous, also on his mayoring of Cleveland, did you know that the city council gave him a commendtion and he saved the city's taxpayers a lot of money. Also what makes you think Americans wont listen to Dennis but only Dean. BTW I dont believe in S&B stuff but isnt Dean a Yale grad? I am not sure and nor do I care.

21. John
Please allow me to explain: I don't care what the man looks like--but "ugly" Americans do care.

An unattractive man is not electable in this TV age unless his name is 'IKE.'

You think JFK and William Jefferson Clinton were solely elected on their policies?

Hillary is a Yale grad...But she wasn't in a secret society. Is Dean an S&Ber, too?

All I know about what went down in Cleveland is what I've read--which is not flattering to Dennis. I'm sure he's a nice man and a good liberal and good Democratic--but he's not presidential material because Americans are too shallow.

Kucinich can't win.

24. I dont know I dont pay attention to skull and bones
but it is a Yale thing. Unattractive? sigh you know that really pisses me off. Well what went down in Cleveland wasnt a good thing but he was praised by the city council for his decision, the company named a building after him, and he saved them much money. On ugly men? Nixon slaughtered McGovern in 72 and Mac was the better looker of the two imho. Besides do we really have to be this cynical and determine who is best by their looks. I dont want my country to elect candiates like a school election does. BTW Dubya's no star either, we arent having a beauty paegant, its a presidential primary and soon to be election. Sorry but if we play like this, I may actually being to comtemplate to ineviteful, leaving the nation. I am just saying that there in lies a possiblity that Dean was a S&Ber too it doesnt bother me but I dont like it when Dean supporters disregard a man because of S&B when there in lies the possiblity that Dean was in it too. Just saying, I am not bashing Dean. I dont care whether my candiate is good looking or not, he or she has to be good on issues, and etc. Kucinich is that for me. It is rather unfortunate in 2003 that the land that spawned FDR wont elect a great man like Dennis Kucinich because of his looks.

27. At the end of the day...
I will support whomever the Democratic party nominates to whack the shrub (even Lieberman). So will you, if you have any sense. So will everybody here.

P.S. Fuck Ralph Nader. You Naderites who lurk here should be forced to enlist and serve in Chimpy's crusade for oil in Iraq. I'm told Operation Iraq Liberation (or OIL, fo short) is doing swimmingly, or so says "never saw combat" Rummy and chickenhawk Wolfie.

"I dont want my country to elect candiates like a school election does."

Neither do I, but let's face reality. My biggest concern is can we beat * if the nominee is not from the South?

That's why I hold out a hope for Graham and hope Dean does not equal Dukakis.

If * steals another one, the wife and I and our little boy (we've already discussed this) will be seeking asylum in Canada or Germany (I used to arbeit im Deutschland).
