a reporter wants to know what our questions are (?W/9-11)
sent this to MANY media outlets last night.

9/11/03: ONE DAY|ONE QUESTION

It's been two years, when will the media demand answers about 9/11?

www.questionw.com

got ONE real response from a FL-based reporter:

Your question implies that there are other questions you feel that we reporters are not asking. What are those questions? I will ask them.

Why did Bush continue with a photo op in FL when he already knew about the first strike in NYC and knew from intelligence briefings that a terrorist strike involving hijacking planes was being planned?

If it is standard operating procedure to scramble planes when a passenger jet going 'off-course,' how is it possible that planes failed to intercept four simultaneous hijacked airliners?

Why would the Bush Administration allow over 140 Saudi nationals, including members of the bin Laden family who were under active FBI investigation, to leave the US without questioning?

Why would the Bush Administration offer 'expedited' passports only to Saudi nationals in the months prior to 9/11?

please add to the list and I'll edit it and send it off tonight.

1. Here's 20 for starters...
http://www.philly.com/mld/dailynews/6742902.htm

<snip>

No one knows where the alleged mastermind of the attack is, and none of his accomplices has been convicted of any crime. We're not even sure if the 19 people identified by the U.S. government as the suicide hijackers are really the right guys.

Who put deadly anthrax in the mail? Where were the jet fighters that were supposed to protect America's skies that morning? And what was the role of our supposed allies Saudi Arabia and Pakistan?

There are dozens of unanswered questions about the 2001 attacks, but we've narrowed them down to 20 - or 9 plus 11.

Absolutely thrilling that these were actually in the Philadelphia paper online. That they appeared ANYWHERE beyond alternative media. I WANT THOSE QUESTIONS ANSWERED!

And, while you're at it, why don't you mention that one of your pals here used to be a reporter and is completely embarrassed, shocked, and disgusted that it's taken TWO YEARS before somebody else in the press corps finally feels like asking about this stuff.

WHY weren't the fighter jets scrambled IMMEDIATELY? Why have the New Yorkers been deliberately lied to - and yes - by the way, WHY aren't these being called exactly what they are: LIES? - about the poisons in their air.

WHY was Wesley Clark instructed to tie this event immediately to Saddam and state-sponsored terrorism - AND BY WHOM??????????? I WANT NAMES!!!!!!!!!

WHY was it more important for Bush to continue reading the book about the goat than to politely and congenially excuse himself and race back to find out more of what's going on?

WHY did they immediately jump to "we've gotta attack Iraq" before even trying to build a case about it?

WHY was Bush running all over the Sun Belt trying to hide in Air Force One instead of standing up immediately and taking command like the "commander-in-chief" he's presumably supposed to be? I mean, it was good enough for Rudy Giuliani to get out there in front. And he was only a mayor. And why did Bush lie about how Air Force One was a target?

WHY then was the Republican National Committee allowed to make copies of those photos of Bush on the phone in Air Force One and looking out the window on that day, selling them for campaign fundraising? AND WHY WAS THIS NOT QUESTIONED AS BEING IN EXTREMELY POOR TASTE, EXPLOITING THE TRAGEDY FOR FINANCIAL GAIN?????? WHY DID NOBODY MAKE A FUSS ABOUT THIS?

WHY did Condi Rice turn her nose up at ALL the briefings from the outgoing Sandy Berger, which talked about a lot of stuff like this?

WHY were there repeated warnings, some of them very specific, that were completely ignored?

WHY was more money allocated to investigate the Columbia disaster than there was to investigate 9-11. AND WHY HAS THE WHITE HOUSE DONE EVERYTHING IN ITS POWER TO SUPPRESS THAT INVESTIGATION??????

IN OTHER WORDS (sorry for shouting) WHAT IS THE WHITE HOUSE TRYING TO HIDE???? WHAT IS IT THAT THEY'RE SO DESPERATE AND DETERMINED TO COVER UP AND CONCEAL FROM US, AND ESPECIALLY, THE FAMILIES OF THE VICTIMS?????????

Dear God, I would LOVE to see these questions answered. But first, they have to be asked.

And by the way, insist that your contact ASK FOLLOW-UP QUESTIONS, and DON'T allow anybody to stonewall you or pablum-puke you or try to change the subject. If you don't get answers the first time, ASK AGAIN!!! AND KEEP ASKING!!!!

on edit - sorry, thought of one more

ONE MORE: WHY did Bush SQUANDER an incredible opportunity not just to build an international coalition, but to inspire America to leap into a new challenge - of developing energy sources that bypass petrochemicals and leave us, for the first time, energy-independent? He could have launched the New-Century equivalent of JFK's quest for the moon before the end of the 1960's. It could have been a great national quest that promoted pride, the Yankee Ingenuity we're so famous for, a whole new frontier in research and development, and oodles and oodles of new jobs! PLUS! Major-league new industries and money-making opportunities for investors (including all those folks who've lost their shirts and their pensions in the stock market)! He really would have been a forward-thinking leader who did inspire trust and renewed optimism and pro-active problem-solving that provides a shrewd, inspired, multi-layered investment in our future! He could have fathered a societal sea-change that would have been a win-win situation for every American. He would have been worth supporting. And we could be turning an adversity into an instrument of healing, learning, and enhanced wisdom. It would have been a nice way to grow up a little more, as a country.

But noooooo...

Instead, we had to throw several tantrums and wreck the room.

The Secrets of September 11
The White House is battling to keep a report on the terror attacks secret. Does the 2004 election have anything to do with it?

April 30 — Even as White House political aides plot a 2004 campaign plan designed to capitalize on the emotions and issues raised by the September 11 terror attacks, administration officials are waging a behind-the-scenes battle to restrict public disclosure of key events relating to the attacks.

<snip>Some sources who have read the still-secret congressional report say some sections would not play quite so neatly into White House plans. One portion deals extensively with the stream of U.S. intelligence-agency reports in the summer of 2001 suggesting that Al Qaeda was planning an upcoming attack against the United States—and implicitly raises questions about how Bush and his top aides responded. One such CIA briefing, in July 2001, was particularly chilling and prophetic. It predicted that Osama bin Laden was about to launch a terrorist strike “in the coming weeks,” the congressional investigators found. The intelligence briefing went on to say: “The attack will be spectacular and designed to inflict mass casualties against U.S. facilities or interests. Attack preparations have been made. Attack will occur with little or no warning.”

The substance of that intelligence report was first disclosed at a public hearing last September by staff director Hill. But at the last minute, Hill was blocked from saying precisely who within the Bush White House got the briefing when CIA director Tenet classified the names of the recipients. (One source says the recipients of the briefing included Bush himself.) As a result, Hill was only able to say the briefing was given to “senior government officials.”

Summer Spinning
To GOP, Vacation Boosted Bush Agenda; To Democrats, Voters See a Shirk Ethic
Aug 29, <2001>

<snip>The White House had announced that Bush would stay at his 1,600-acre ranch in Crawford from Aug. 4 through Labor Day on Sept. 3, a 31-day stretch that would have broken a modern record for a presidential vacation, held by Richard M. Nixon for a 30-day trip to San Clemente, Calif., in 1969. News reports played up the record, and a Gallup Poll found that 55 percent of respondents thought Bush's vacation was too long.

The length of the trip revived old questions about Bush's work ethic, and the poll and the news coverage caused consternation in the White House. Aides said they had planned an ambitious schedule for Bush as long ago as late June, but reporters were not told about it, even after they landed here. The White House, suddenly defensive, took every opportunity to show Bush on the go and even created a "Western White House" logo for the briefing room at Crawford Elementary School. Bush revealed that his ranch had new video conferencing equipment for keeping in touch with his national security team.

A Working Vacation
Vice President Cheney plans to fish, travel during month-long valley sojourn.
By Angus M. Thuermer Jr.

Vice President Dick Cheney took time off from his month-long working vacation Monday to outline his plans for August in Jackson Hole and to reflect on "an amazing year."

Cheney, who will live at his Teton Pines home about six miles west of Jackson until Labor Day, defended his energy policy, supported a local decision to limit drilling around the Gros Ventre Wilderness, recalled a life of service in Washington and said his health problems are not affecting his ability to fish for trout on his favorite Western waters.

Ashcroft Flying High
WASHINGTON, July 26, 2001

(CBS) Fishing rod in hand, Attorney General John Ashcroft left on a weekend trip to Missouri Thursday afternoon aboard a chartered government jet, reports CBS News Correspondent Jim Stewart.

In response to inquiries from CBS News over why Ashcroft was traveling exclusively by leased jet aircraft instead of commercial airlines, the Justice Department cited what it called a "threat assessment" by the FBI, and said Ashcroft has been advised to travel only by private jet for the remainder of his term.

"There was a threat assessment and there are guidelines. He is acting under the guidelines," an FBI spokesman said. Neither the FBI nor the Justice Department, however, would identify what the threat was, when it was detected or who made it.

4. Ashcroft claimed he stopped flying commercially
a month before the attacks because a threat specific to him, not to commercial air travelers in general. Are we to believe this claim without any proof at all? Doesn’t it also imply that Reno received no “personal” threats?

Of all the arguments showing that they knew of the threat, the fact that when Ashcroft stopped flying in commercially immediately before the attacks is the easiest for the public to understand. Which may be why it is so seldom reported.

6. Let me try:
Why did the INS round up for review every type of muslim immigrant after 911 except Saudis? (someone pipe in - was it just Saudis who were exempt, or were Pakistanis or others also exempt?)

Why was Khalid killed once in Pakistan and then discovered 2 years later and captured and whisked off to parts unknown for 'interrogation'?

Why did white house officials start taking Cipro before the anthrax attacks?

What are the crimes of the people being detained at Guantanamo?

Blasted -- I can't stay on topic today. There are so many questions about everything. Sorry. Will try to add later.

10. Here are mine:
Why has the administration been so reluctant to publicize the full results of the 9/11 commission?

Given the clear indications of serious errors, why has nobody been fired or resigned as a result of the 9/11 investigation?

Why has the "Department of Homeland Security" accomplished nothing apart from the establishment of a meaningless system of color-coded 'terror alerts' and an increase in the sales of duct tape and plastic?

How are we supposed to know when we've won the war on terrorism?

Why do we assume that the destruction of buildings and the taking of civilian life in Baghdad will somehow be less traumatic to the Iraqis than the World Trade Center attacks were to Americans?

OK, I'm starting to get rhetorical now...but the first 2 are serious.

12. Was the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania really headed to TMI?
There was quite a bit of evidence to suggest that early on but the White House liked the story that it was headed there better so that is the story the media stuck to, but it was fictional. They would have known Chimp was out of town is the most obvious reason, the speed of the plane at the time of the crash couldn’t have been sustained and interviews with people in the Philippines familiar with A-Q report that a target was a nuclear plant.

Why isn’t that explored?

25. my question(s)...
why do people insist on ignoring:

1) The temprature at which steel melts juxtaposed with the temprature at which Kerosene Burns?

2) The Second Law of Thermodynamics

3) The Law of Gravity

Reference:
http://www.serendipity.li/wot/holmgren01.htm

<snip>

But the hurdles which confront the conspiracy theorist are many, and they are now forced to implement even more creative uses for the newly-discovered shockingly destructive qualities of kerosine. They have to explain how the Arabs also engineered the elegant vertical collapse of both the WTC towers, and for this awkward fact the easiest counter is to simply deny that it was a controlled demolition, and claim that the buildings collapsed from fire caused by the burning kerosine.

For this, it's necessary to sweep aside the second law of thermodynamics and propose kerosine which is not only impossibly destructive, but also recycles itself for a second burning in violation of the law of degradation of energy. You see, the kerosine not only consumed itself in a sudden catastrophic fireball, vapourizing a 65 ton plane into nothing, but then came back for a second go, burning at 2000°C for another hour at the impact point, melting the skyscraper's steel like butter. And while it was doing all this it also poured down the elevator shafts, starting fires all through the building. When I was at school there was a little thing called the entropy law which suggests that a given portion of fuel can only burn once, something which is readily observable in the real world, even for those who didn't make it to junior high school science. But this is no problem for the conspiracy theorist. Gleefully, they claim that a few thousand gallons of kerosine is enough to:

completely vapourize a 65 ton aircraft
have enough left over to burn ferociously enough for over an hour at the impact point to melt steel (melting point about double the maximum combustion temperature of the fuel) and
still have enough left over to pour down the elevator shafts and start similarly destructive fires all through the building.

shuttle disintegrates , killing SEVEN astronauts (who knew their mission was potentially dangerous)..... An IMMEDIATE investigation was launched (even though we "knew" how it probably happened, BEFORE it even happened).. At least TWO more parallel investigations were launched, as well.. Numerous press conferences, and Q & A sessions ensued..

9-11 happens, killing THOUSANDS of people whose only plan that day was to go to their jobs..... NO investigation is launched for MONTHS.. Administration does everything except hold their breath and turn blue, to STOP the investigation.. In the end they appoint people who are seriously "conflict-of-interest"ed" to sit on or chair the investigation.. Secrecy is the watchword, and after TWO YEARS, there is little "out there" to explain WHY it happened, HOW it happened..

Why did he feel it was safe to stay at that school until 9:45?

Why were no fighter planes sent to intercept Flights 77 and 93 as was SOP before 9/11?

Exactly what were General Myers and Donald Rumsfeld doing between 9:05 and 9:45 EDT that morning? Why weren't they actively defending American from its worst domestic attack since the dawn of flight?

Who made all that money on the put options against American & United Airlines?

Why did Condo Rice say that "nobody could have expected those planes to run into buildings" when she had about 100 differnet warning that planes would be used by terrorists to run into buildings?

Who helped the 9/11 hijackers in the United States? Why aren't these people in prison?

What's going on with the anthrax investigation?

The hijackers' DNA was recovered from Flight 93. Was any attempt made to match this DNA with the suspected hijackers? What did this investigation reveal?

What happened to Flight 93 between the 10:03 AM time the cockpit voice recording stopped and the 10:06 time seismic evidence shows Flight 93 crashed?

33. How is it that 47 minutes after the SECOND trade center was hit -
And EVERYONE on the planet knew it was terrorism (especially the White House who had been warned of this happening) the air space over Washington D.C. - our nation's capitol - is left totally defenseless -even though it was known that there were 4 hijacked planes - 2 still in the air - the plane over D.C. having its pick of targets - White House, Capitol Building - Pentagon - anywhere!! Please have someone explain that.

34. Why doesn't George Bush care?
He has never addressed the nation over the tragic military failure of 9/11, not that I've heard of. I would think that would have been first and foremost on any Presidents mind. I would think HE would have been discussing the defense failure, HE would recognize it as a frightening and unbelievable failure, HE would demand answers and a real investigation no matter the poltical costs, HE would tell the American people what has been fixed so it doesn't happen again, where is HE on the biggest defense failure in our nation's history???

And you can take all of those and turn them around into questions, if others haven't already posted them. Why have I just not heard any media truly express outrage and demand real answers on this colossal military failure?

35. Also, how did Dick Cheney and Bush know to start taking Cipro -
(which has very strong side effects of naseau and diahrea (sp?)) almost 4 weeks before there was any anthrax attack? Are they still taking it - with the War on Terror in full swing? If not, why not? One more thing - aren't the odds pretty tremendous against it happening that of all the 285 million Americans who could have been arbitrarily chosen by the "evil-doers" to receive anthrax - that it is the opposing party leader - Tom Daschle - who at that time was the major opposition to the passage of the Patriot Act??

...I'm thinking of the Families For Peaceful Tomorrows. They are calling for a new approach to 9/11 focused on true security and justice. They have travelled to Afghanistan and recognize the Afghans killed by US bombs as another set of victims created by 9/11. They recognize the deceptions of Bush.

His itinerary was easy enough to find - presumably the potus is Target #1 if the US is under attack.

If that is true, why wasn'y he hustled out of there immediately? Why weren't the children evacuated like the Pentagon was?

I'd fucking sue if I were one of those kid's parents.

55. Was this the same one
that reportedly tied together the intercepted phone messages 'the match is on' & 'the match begins tomorrow' or something like that?
I recall they were clues to a 'conspiracy theory' that an inside/spy had info about the drill, and instead of the mock event, a real one took place instead.
The 'match' was the date of the drill, and allowed the hijackers to fly planes into targets that were only supposed to be only simulations of the events.

All the info i had on this were lost due to a data loss recently or i'd link.

thanks for your work, nostamj.

56. Perhaps use Kristen Breitweiser's testimony as a template
"The questions about 9/11 were laid out clearly in the Testimony of Kristen Breitweiser before the Joint Intelligence Committee on 9/18/02

"Speaking as a family member of a victim, she asked why they had so few answers then, and we can also ask why there are so many more questions now."

(Or such)

Then the main categories she commented on, with more specific questions below each: Something like the following with the questions here fit in as appropriate and maybe a Still More Questions at the end. ------->

Why did officials deny knowing of Specific Threats as to Using Planes as Weapons

Why was there a Failure to Make Warnings Public

Failure to Investigate and Share Information

Were the Terrorists Already Under Surveillance?
How were complete biographies of the terrorists and their accomplices created in such short time? Did our intelligence agencies already have open files on these men? Were they already investigating them? Could the attacks of September 11 been prevented?

Why did the NY/NJ Port Authority not evacuate the World Trade Center when they had an open phone line with Newark Traffic Control Center and were told that the second plane was bearing down on the South Tower?

Why was our Air Force so late in its response?

What, if anything, did our nation do, in a defensive military posture that morning?

59. my questions- 9-11 and beyond

A. why did the major media outlets in America fail to report on this investigative report by Sy Hersh in MARCH of 03, which showed that the uranium claim was false?

http://www.newyorker.com/fact/content/?030407fa_fact1

-and WHY, in Bush's last speech, did the media let him get away with yet another lie by using the past tense "Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, or whatever...blah blah" as though any weapons were found since the US invasion --and allow Bush, and their fellow talking heads to not inform the public those weapons had been contained by UN inspections (which Bush refused to continue--and which Bush also lied about in an earlier speech), and that Bush Sr. had been instrumental in supplying Hussein with those weapons.

B. Why did the major media outlets fail to make the following actions as important as Laci Peterson for the American people? Which story is more important? -

Here are a few facts to help remember events actions Bush took preceding 9-11.

1. One day after the terrorist attacks, Bush took forty BILLION dollars from Social Security because he said it was necessary for the war on terrorism.

2. Port and Maritime Security Act- rather than trying to insure that cargo containers are inspected, Bush's bill provided for long-term "terrorist" sentences for anyone who engages in acts such as "disrupting" or "interfering with maritime COMMERCE. When the longshoremen asked for language to clarify that this would not apply to labor disputes, Bush refused. ---In other words, Bush simply wanted to assist companies who want to break longshoremen unions.

3. Bush could find eight BILLION dollars for insurance industry subsidies when the insurance companies asked Bush to guarantee that taxpayers would foot the bill for any future payouts on terrorism insurance.

Democrats wanted govt to cover 80 percent of these costs, but this wasn't enough for the Bush administration, who wanted the public to foot the bill from the first dollar...this is a difference of eight billion dollars.

4. Bush found fifteen BILLION dollars to bail out the airline industry. AA received eight hundred million and then laid off twenty thousand workers and said it (AA) would not pay any severance to those who lost their jobs. Airlines have to apply to the govt to get their part of the bail out and one of the official criteria for approving applications is that airlines are supposed to force concessions from their employees.

5. Bush found a hundred BILLION dollars for corporate tax giveaways, including twenty-five billion in RETROACTIVE tax cuts, given with no strings attached. In other words, a corporation could use the entire amount for executive bonuses without any problem.

6. Remember the anthrax scare? Cipro is produced by Bayer (who, as an aside, tested their aspirin on prisoners in Auschwitz). A month's supply costs $350. Generic drug producers can make that same montly supply for ten bucks.

Canada suspended Cipro's patent in order to make meet their country's need for this antibiotic in the event of what appeared to be an emergeny.

Not Bush. The difference between an emergency war supply of Cipro, based upon the number of pills the govt estimated were needed to combat an anthrax attack, made generically, rather than by Bayer is eight BILLION dollars.

Generic suppliers could make the amount of Cipro needed for the American people in three months, while Bayer said it would take them twenty months. Rather than protect the American people, Bush thought Bayer's profits were more important and willingly exposed Americans to the possibility of an anthrax attack for seventeen months in order to maximize the profits of one drug company.

7. Bush claimed the govt could not afford to pay for family medical premiums for the ONE MILLION laid off America workers in 2001. Either the eight billion from the Cipro deal or the insurance company deal would have funded that insurance for those ONE MILLION AMERICANS.

8. Bush wants to stimulate the economy, he says. However, according to economists on both the left and right, the best stimulus is to put the money into the hands of the workers who will spend it on goods and services, rather than the rich who traditionally gamble among themselves on the stock market.

9. Bush tried to draw a comparison between the 9-11 attacks and Pearl Harbor. However, back then there were regulations against war profiteering. Patriotism back then was defined as not profiting from our nation's misery.

10. In the month following 9-11, the Senate rejected a proposal that would have given firefighters collective bargaining rights in 22 states where they now lack the right to organize. The Republican argued the firefighters might go on strike during a terrorist attack. What a slap in the face to all those who lost their lives in the WTC, to their families, and to all the firefighters around this country who regularly risk their lives, whether facing a terrorist attack or a house fire.

11. Bush ruled that that baggage screeners should have restricted whistle blower protections. As Time magazine noted, it was the good folks in the FBI who were trying to fight the war on terrorism, with whistleblower protection, who pointed out the mistakes that led to 9-11.

12. Rather than let baggage screeners become federal employees and potential union members, the House Republican leadership delayed improving the nation's airport security for TWO MONTHS immediately after 9-11.

13. Republicans worked to prevent anti-terrorist legislation that included restrictions on off-shore banking used by terrorist money launders because the same money laundering schemes are used by corporate crooks such as Enron to allow them to avoid paying their share of taxes.

---statistics here are from Gordon Lafer, asst. prof in Labor at U of Oregon and appeared in the Fall 2002 version of Dissent magazine.

C. Why does our government continue to associate with known financiers of terrorism? Why isn't Bill O'Reilly outraged that, according to Fortune magazine and other outlets, Thomas Kean, head of the 9-11 investigative committee, was in business with Khalid bin Mafouz, via Delta/Amereda Hess oil up until THREE WEEKS before his appointment to head the investigation.

Why doesn't the media ask if Bush and Cheney, ad nauseum, have a conflict of interest in their so-called War on Terrorism because of their lucrative contracts and business dealings with the bin Laden and bin Mahfouz families, as well as the House of Saud? Why has the Bush administration protected the Saudis and lied to the American people about the true sources of funding for and harboring of terrorism? (Pakistan should also be included in that question.)

D. Why, if the report is true, doesn't anyone bring up for public debate the morality of seeking "genocidal" weapons, as was reported on Common Dreams? Are we now a nation which will look the other way as our govt works to develop weapons to destroy races of people?? What makes this plan any different than Hitler's final solution?

What are the definitions of facism, according to political scientists? Does the Bush administration fit that definition? Are their actions indicative of those definitions, and if so, why does the media refuse to acknowledge this and therefore force the American people to look into their own souls to see if this is the nation we want to be.

Dear Keith,

Thank you for your response. Here are some questions (and links). This list was culled from a thread on the website www.democraticunderground.com ("DU") and represents contributions from over 50 board members.

While I did not 'source' the questions, I can GUARANTEE you that DU members can and will provide mainstream links for any of these issues (and much more). Just ask.

Again, thanks for your reply and we will await some investigation and answers.

For questionW.com,

Nostamj (IQuestionW@aol.com)

Why did John Ashcroft stop flying in commercial planes in the months before 9/11?

Why was the Hart-Rudman report ignored by the Bush administration? blm Sep-11-03 02:59 PM

Why did the White House start taking Cipro before the anthrax attacks?

What is the status of the anthrax killer investigation?

How is it possible that Mohammad Atta's passport is intact but not the flight data recorders?

Who bought the puts on the airlines prior to 9-11?

Why did they censor the Congressional Report? What's in the 28 pages?

Why did they refuse the Saudis' request to release the pages?

Why were the residents and workers in NYC deliberately lied to about airborne toxins following the collapse and burning of the WTC?

Why did Condoleezza Rice lie about not having intelligence about using civilian aircraft as weapons where the President was house on an air craft carrier during the previous G8 Summit for precisely that reason?

Why was Wesley Clark asked to tie 9/11 to Saddam and state-sponsored terrorism in the days following the attacks?

Why did the press give Bush a 'pass' on politicizing the tragedy by selling photos of himself on AF1 as a fund-raising gimmick?

Why was more money allocated to investigate the Columbia disaster than there was to investigate 9-11?
Given the fatal failures of 9/11, why has nobody been fired or resigned from any agency responsible?

Why has the "Department of Homeland Security" accomplished nothing apart from the establishment of a meaningless system of color-coded 'terror alerts' and an increase in the sales of duct tape and plastic?

Why did Cheney's Energy Policy team have documents and maps detailing Iraqi oil resources?

If Flight 93 was brought down by the heroric action of the passengers, nose-diving into the ground, why were massive chunks of debris found more than a mile from the crash site?

Why have the President and Laura Bush refused to meet (or even respond to requests to meet) with the 9/11 widows and other family of 9/11 victim groups?

Why is the Federal payout to victim families conditional on giving up the right to sue the airlines?
Why were at least three of the alleged hijackers trained at US military installations in the 1990s?

I also highly recommend this article (with 20 similar question)

72. You may have to start a new list of questions...
I know this might be flame-fodder but somethings just don't make sense.

Saddam invades Kuwait in 1990 because (1) Iraq has long believed that Kuwait was lopped off from mainland Iraq by "occupying" UK forces illegally and (2) Iraq accused Kuwait of "slant drilling" into their oil fields and siphoning off Iraqi oil. The world is incensed, we attack them and bomb the hell out of them killing tens of thousands of Iraqi people (women, children, old, young and military). Question: Why wasn't the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq considered an "occupation" with all the "legal" ramifications and concessions that are afforded to the US as an "occupying force" now in Iraq and like Israel, now "occupying" Palestinian territories? Why does the world, including the UN, sanction the behavior of the US and Israel (and the UK in times past) and afford them some type of almost "legal occupying status" for doing the same thing that Saddam did to Kuwait which we considered barbaric, illegal, an act of aggression, and a threat to the world?

How is it that we and Israel and the UK get to invade, kill, loot, piliage, and destroy entire nations and it's considered a badge of honor for democracies and when non-western nations do the same thing for even more legitimate reasons than just hating people, and we and most of the "developed nations" accept it and ascribe legitmacy to those actions by using "legal rights and responsibilities of occupying forces" for such atroscities? Please help me with this...

Is it just plain racism? Does it mean that European nations and Israel and the US have some kind of God-given right to do this while non-white nations are just plain terrorists when they do it?

I'm serious...think about it! Why is this?

77. A Nagging Question
A Florida-based reporter-
A Florida-based question-
An act that made no sense at the time-
One that didn't seem to get any scrutiny-
One that just stays with me-
Unfortunately, it's too late to add to the list. :-(

Why did jeb revoke the standing order for the Florida National Guard on September 7th, and replace it with one adding the words 'acts of terrorism'?

I used to have a file related to this question (no answers). Don't know where I 'buried it so I wouldn't lose it', but did find this DU thread bookmarked, which lays it out fairly well. Know there were a few threads here about it, and it went the rounds in e-mail groups at the time. Frustrated that this is all I can find, but the basics and some good links are here:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/cgi-bin/duforum/duboard.cgi?az=list_threads&om=4971&forum=DCForumID5

Don't know if this list was cited as one with a list of questions, or how many of these 500 Questions are valid (considering the source)- but, for what it's worth, here's another saved link I just found:
