Look at the weekly ad for this store. How far is "Arbeit Macht Frei" from "Freedom is a Privilege"?...If it's a privilege, what do I have to do to get it...and who can take it away?...Silly me, I thought freedom was an "American birthright".

Another one I hate to see - my father-in-law has two ribbons on the back of his car that read those two slogans.

It's all I can do to stop the car from plowing into his back end when I'm forced to go over there.

Bush would like us to believe these are inherently American traits, but Jefferson's idea set the stage for freedom endowed directly from God to all beings.

Granted, he was a slaveowner. But the idea outweighs the hypocrisy by the weight of the earth against that of a feather.

what it really is is that bush and the righties HATE freedom. They have tried, with some success, to steal the word, and change its meaning, thereby weakening what it means.

I remember gingrich walking onto the stage of the repuke convention in 94 with images of an eagle flying over the wilderness while orgasmic choral singers touted "freedom."

They hate it. And they try to destroy it.

Ask any rw nut to define freedom - what they think it is ain't what you and me think it is.

and see what these RW nutjobs really think of freedom. I can't get on there anymore because I was banned as soon as I disagreed with them. What they have there is a giant suckfest where they all blow their psuedo pro-military, patriotic smoke and then pat one another on the back in agreement. They need some new blood on their site but you have to be careful. They won't tolerate much of the truth.

Freedom used to be a birthright of any human being in this world. This talk about American identity just blurrs the whole picture.

We need to recover a genuine feeling of "Citizens of the World" where we follow EVERYBODY´s interest in keeping the natural environment natural and human beings human. The latest developments in politics have contributed to bringing out the beast...

It´s no news that Bush´s so called "Freedom Mission" is nothing but a move for getting oil ressources under his control.

Let´s wake up and fight the moral war for inner freedom of mankind.
