The "truth" is whatever we tell you it is...
If civil war breaks out in Lebanon, it will not be called a "civil war", it will be called a struggle for "freedom" - a fight for democracy. If 10,000 Americans die in Iraq, it will not be because of disastrous foreign policy and unnecessary war, it will be "assisting the Iraqis in their fight for "freedom". If the economy tanks, it will not be because of huge taxcuts for the wealthy and spending like a drunk sailor, it will be because of 9/11 and corporate malfeasance. If anarchy takes over the entire Middle East, it will be because people are fighting for "democracy" - they yearn to be free. The "truth" is whatever we say it is - George W Bush is a brilliant man and he had the vision to help bring freedom to 50 million people. See what I mean?

1. civil war in Lebanaon would be called two things:
1. a triumph of the little bushturd's ME policy

2. proof that we need to invade Syria.

You're right . The absolute worst thing these criminals have done to us is to devalue the truth.

2. CNN guy was saying this morning that if SS Privatization doesn't happen
immediately then the country was headed for financial disaster. He was really talking up panic over Greenscam's pronouncements.

When I heard that I knew they would blame SS for the coming financial problems due to our debt and Bush's incompetence with money.

They've set it up. If congress doesn't vote because they can't get enough folks on Board, Bush will blame it on SS and Medicare. If they do vote but don't get all they wanted they will blame not giving the Chimp everything he wanted as the problem. Not once did the jerk mention why we might have a financial crisis in the US. He said it was ALL due to SS and he claimed Greenscam said just that...which he didn't if one heard his testimony. Greenspan actually blamed the SS shortfall on "an arithmatical error." He failed to say if there was an "arithmatical error" it was his own error since he was the one who increased our payroll taxes way back to cover any shortfall. And, he said he wouldn't call it a "crisis" either, but a "problem" that needed to be addressed. So that idiot Cafferty on CNN was reading from the RW Talking Points just like Jimmy/Jeff and the rest of their paid hacks.

But, who are they going to convince? A bunch of 20 or 30 somethings who may not vote, anyway? The people who vote are the ones who are counting on SS and hopefully are a little more savy? Also they are the ones most likely to give their Congresspeople an earful.

3. Other factitious connections
When they are backed into a corner "the debt and economic woes" are due to 9-11 and if that isn't enough "we're at war! Terror, Danger!" They have it all covered.
