1. After 9/11
How about that he was waiting until after the 9/11 anniversary so as not to have his thunder immediately stolen? Not sure it has much to do with anything the Republicans are doing other than talking about the flag and terror from now through the weekend.

2. Ah, that is also possible.
I'm sure that Clark's ear is bent towards Bill Clinton for advice, so I can't help but wonder if the timing is part of a ploy.
