WHY DON'T WE HAVE ANSWERS TO THESE 9/11 QUESTIONS?

1. What did National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice tell President Bush about al Qaeda threats against the United States in a still-secret briefing on Aug. 6, 2001?

Rice has suggested in vague terms that the president's brief - prepared daily by the CIA - included information that morning about Osama bin Laden's methods of operation - including hijacking. But when the congressional committee probing Sept. 11 asked to see the report, Bush claimed executive privilege and refused to release it.

2. Why did Attorney General John Ashcroft and some Pentagon officials cancel commercial-airline trips before Sept. 11?

On July 26, 2001 - 47 days before the Sept. 11 attacks - CBS News reported that Ashcroft was flying expensive charters rather than commercial flights because of a "threat assessment" by the FBI. CBS said, "Ashcroft has been advised to travel only by private jet for the remainder of his term." Newsweek later reported that on Sept. 10, 2001, "a group of top Pentagon officials suddenly canceled travel plans for the next morning, apparently because of security concerns."

Did either Ashcroft or the Pentagon have advance information about a 9/11-style attack and, if so, why wasn't this shared with the American public?

For those of you who don't know, The Philadelphia Daily News is a populist tabloid paper,(glorified sports rag), who shifted with the winds after 9/11. The have been recently supportive of b*sh and definitively pro-war. They have hammered the French and the UN. Overall, their headlines have rivaled the NYP's for sheer mendacity and outragousness. If the shamelessly opportunistic PDN feels comfortable publishing an "unpatriotic" article like this one- on September 11th no less- then for me, this is proof that the tide is finally turning.

2. Yeah, I was pretty shocked to find this.

The article is hardly goes into enough detail, and is overall less informed than the average DU'er, but for this to be out there at all...

There is a noticable change in many media outlets attitude about b*sh.

5. Yeah, I saw this, too. AND I noticed something novel:

This is probably the first tabloidy piece that's come out, that's dared to use the word "LIE." Question number 13: "Why did the Bush administration lie about dangerously high levels of toxins and hazardous particles after the WTC collapse?" I've not seen the word "lie" actually articulated other than by people like us, ranting here, and letters-to-the-editor-type vehicles.

Maybe the worm IS turning. President Toast, I presume?

3. It's Time to Stop Yelling and Take the Reins

I'm becoming more and more convinced the "shadowy elite" or whomever are ready to dump Bush.

As the scales fall off your neighbors eyes and they unload onto you all this stuff you've known for 2-3 years, instead of allowing the conversation to be a Yupfest, I heavily recommend we all take advantage of this break to educate the newly-willing on exactly what corporate America is up to.

BEFORE the press gets the new script written and distributed.

4. That's a good suggestion.

I have tried to clue people in before, but have found it pointless if they are not willing to listen. Many people I talk to are still very defensive about 9/11 and the Iraq invasion. However, their fear level seems to have gone down palpably. I think they have many questions and doubts that they have not gotten a credible answer to. It is important that we are able to give them these answers without being condescending.

Unfortunately, for many people, unless they receive confirmation in a mainstream source, they won't take the answers we give them seriously.
