CBS News tonight (March 8) Dan Rather
Ended with a segment called "Reporters Notebook"

Tonight featured Rather's interview with (pre-invasion) Saddam Hussein.

Saddam asked Rather, "How was President bush* able to convince the American people that Iraq had WMD, and ties to 9-11?"

Rather didn't answer the question, but the fact that he included this question was an indictment of the American News Media.

Go, Dan!!!!

1. Keith Olbermann to tell the truth about Rather tonight:
(It should be breaking news whenever any member of the MSM tells the truth).
This is from his newsletter:

Dan Rather finishes up his long stint as Anchorman tomorrow night.

Meanwhile, Walter Cronkite hardly waxes poetic regarding Rather's departure...

Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather's predecessor at the "CBS Evening News," said Monday that Rather's replacement by Bob Schieffer was overdue. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7122636/

But the idea that Rather is leaving under a cloud... is bunk. The man has a decades-long career, some mistakes included.
The press has largely missed the point on the National Guard story anyway...

Keith returns tonight, for a broadcast only Keith can do.

3. You mean Bob might not be objective in reporting Administration-
sponsored legislation and its actions, policies, and war(s), if any?

4. Why am I not surprised? Dan is one of the last few
anchors who took news broadcasting seriously. Now the propaganda wheel is closing even tighter. Of course I haven't watched much media news in months anyway. My beautiful mind can't handle the insults to my intelligence.

5. With Dan gone, I don't anticipate ever watching network news again, even
for a minute.
