Democrats missed a golden opportunity with this bankruptcy bill
Maybe they're saving it for 2006.

But just think how this debate could have been framed. The pubs have been racking our country up into massive debts.

And now they have the gall to attack individuals who are struggling with debt?

I'll tell you what, you could mine the hypocrisy endlessly. Are any Democrats speaking up about this, any at all, even just one?

1. If they save the fight in 2005 for 2006 they will save it in 2007

for 2008. This dog's got too little fight.
This was not a vote your concience vote!

For Goddesss sake's, this is not one to lie down on!
I just wish I knew what possible motive the 14 Dems
had on this. Even Byrd!

This is cosmically stupid.
BTW- lurking freepers, if later, you hear denials from either your family, friends, pundits, or even your own mouth about no one seeing the crash of 05 coming. This was your last wake up call.

This is your head, in an economic vise, red Amerika. Jesus may love you, but George** does not.

2. Who is going to report it? The "liberal media?" LOL!
Good one. Seriously, we need an actual independant media to report facts, and when the media is owned by the GOP, you're unlikely to get any coverage for Democratic speechifying.

5. Welcome to DU, Jesus Saves...It could've been framed to do damage!
This is barely a blip on the radar screen that is the corporate media. I just don't think Americans would stand for this if they knew. Maybe LTTE would have done some good at one time, but it's really late in this game now.

Letters to the dems that voted for cloture reminding them that we know who bought their vote might change their minds. Probably not, though.

:hi:

7. Not likely
For one thing, 14 dems voted for it. The issue won't do much for them. For another thing, I never even heard about this except on this site. The msm is pre-occupied with Social Security. I don't recall hearing anything about it on RW talk either, although I must admit I've been devoting my free time almost exclusively to college basketball tournaments lately. I almost think SS was a diversion and this was the true objective. Watch what other crap they shove through congress while we are still waiting for his majesty to submit his social security proposal.
