Is Pat Roberston the Intellectual Father of Faux? |
|
Think about it. Back during the Last Days of the Old Republic, I remember watching his CBN "News" and marvelling how it looked like the real thing and had mahogany desks, serious-looking wall clocks, and mellifluous-voiced blow-dried anchor.
At the time, like so many others, I dismissed this gambit as Propaganda for the stupid and figured that "it could never happen here".
And what is Faux but Roberston's CBN "News" with a few more billion ill-gotten $$$$'s pumped into it? Thus ensuring, to the money-worshiping Imperial Subjects of Amerika, because it "looked real" then it must be real.
And of course, Faux is real, real Nazi-style propaganda without the overt racism and calls to violence. But the template is essentially the same, tailored for Amerika, as the original Ministry of Poular Truth and Enlightenment.
So I ask again...Is Pat Robertson the True iNtellectual Father of Faux?
Whattaya think?

C'mon! Pat Robertson is not intellectual about anything. He does not know how to think, much like Bu**sh** and his gang of thugs.

I used to watch the 700 Club for their "news" and if it's still the same format, then yes, one could argue it is.

I have to click past the 700 Club several times a day (I live near VA Beach their home). I could not believe that he is supporting Arnold in California. Especially after all the sex, drugs from Arnold.
Today I actually watched about a minute of the show. Pat's son was on and he asked another person on the show if this was the "end" since all the Christians were being pushed out of every country and now the US. The other guy agreed and started to talk about the uprising that will soon be starting. The US will rise up as the leaders or something. I had to leave so didn't get the rest.
Very strange.

12. You should know by now that Busheviks have NO principles |

Just agendas.
And the more Godly they PRETEND to be, the more morally bankrupt THEY ARE.
Robertson just like the rest...

9. CBN reporters are pretty lame |
|
They stutter and make lots of verbal gaffes on camera, and the mistakes don't get edited out. I actually watch when I have a day off, as "madness in great ones must not unwatched go". Marion (Pat) talks a mean game about the professionalism of his organization and his university, but it's all second rate, just like most "christian" music and movies.
I always liked Jim and Tammy better. At least their fraud was obvious, and amusing to anyone who didn't send them money. I especially liked the way Tammy would always cry when it was money raising time. Or the time she gave him giraffes for his birthday. Since they are no longer on the air, I guess I'll have to settle for Detroit's own Jack Van Impe and the lovely Rexella for my fundie laughs.

I mean it is really strange over in Robertson's network. Prayer offensives against ruth bader Ginsburg? very strange. remember how he stopped the hurricane with prayer? That is a real kooky network.

11. Let me put it this way... |
|
I used to watch CBN "News" in order to keep an eye on the right wing agenda, a purpose now served by FAUX.
Also, its worthy of noting that at that time, CBN news claimed to be the only balanced news coverage.
Sound familiar?

14. NO NO NO NO The Hunt Family Are Responsible |
|
Pat Robertson is a whipper-snapper when it comes to conservative media.
If you want to know the heart of the conservative media movement, look no further south than my wonderful Lone Star State. Specifically look to Dallas and the uber-wealthy Hunt family (Hunt Oil Company). The Hunt brothers are the literal hard-scrabble founding fathers of the conservative media movement.
Back in the early 1950s the Hunts financed a travelling roadshow of right wing, U.N. hating material moving from one public library to the next and they also financed the beginning of the conservative radio presence.
I'm Texan, but on this one you do have to blame Texas once more.
