Why do you think Mary Matalin quit?
I've always thought there was something screwy there.

An na we see da light...
ya gatta stan up for ya right!

Bob wrote some hard but fine, fine songs. Great lyricist and one of the few artists who really introduced a new genre into music of the twentieth century.

4. She didn't REALLY leave
She left like Karen Hughes left. They make a big announcement that they're leaving, then they sneak in the back door, getting even bigger salaries from a different source. The Cabal can't afford to have anyone leave. There's such a small gene pool to draw upon.

It was announced that Matalin was returning as spinmeister when things started going sour over Iraq.

12. to star in an HBO series
with husband and directed by George Clooney. It is to be about the influence of K street on politics in Washington. So we are living in weird times.

15. She probably has too many scruples to continue to work for Bush
I always respected her for being a smart woman who can make a good case for her opinion without making unfair personal attacks on those who disagree, except her husband, who is fair game. I might not agree with her, but Anne Coulter could learn a lot from her about how to be a conservative, yet still be a nice human being. Maybe Mary doesn't like the whole "if you disagree with me you're a traitor" line of thinking that is prevailing among current conservatives and misses real debate about issues.
