With Dems like this....
Last night on Scarborough Rep. Peter King (Supposedly D-NY) said the chimp was doing a "terrific" job. After kissing the chimp's ass for a few more minutes, he uttered the following: "As Ed Koch says, Thank God George Bush was the president on September 11."

The entire nauseating exchange is at www.msnbc.com/news/965676.asp

We have some serious housecleaning to do.

1. Representive Peter King is a republican
I remember reading about him, supposely he doesnt have much beef with Clinton and even made him a character in a novel.

10. King was clearly labeled a Dem throughout the show.
Sorry for my mistake.

14. As he is labeled on the transcript
Honest mistake? Maybe.

On the other hand who can tell in the Amerikan Empire, so awash in casual propaganda and lies?

Perhaps just a little Operation Mockingbird Touch.

7. OK, that explains it. However,
if you go to the transcript he's clearly identified as a Dem - as he was on the show. Deliberate?

17. No one at MSGOP noticed or thought to correct the mistake?
King was on through a couple of commercials. They knew what they were doing.

But I don't get to vote for him. DiFi is never getting my vote again, and I've told her so.

6. Nader's not right
Edited on Fri Sep-12-03 01:42 PM by wryter2000
Nader said Gore and Bush were the same. That's not right. Gore wouldn't have started a war in Iraq. He may be far from perfect, but he isn't "the same" as Whistle Ass.

Editted for typo

http://www.damnedbigdifference.org/quotes

“The only difference between the Republican and Democratic parties is the velocities with which their knees hit the floor when corporations knock on their door. That’s the only difference,” he said. “The two parties ... are becoming one corporate party, with two heads wearing different makeup, and that is not a good enough choice for the American people.”
In a speech at Amherst College, 10-04-00

Did you read that? The "ONLY DIFFERENCE"

Abortion - no difference
Taxes - No difference
War - no difference
SS - no difference

NADER LIED!

P.S. - King is a Repuke, not a Dem. You're wrong to think that what King said proves Nader right.

12. Yeah, and Feingold and Wellstone were trash to be thrown out.
I won't rise to your Nader bashing bait. Let's just say my opinion of problems with the Dem party is pretty much summed up with the old saying "you don't throw out the baby with the bathwater."

16. I take it back because it wasn't a Democrat that said this.
King is a Red Ink Republican who knows as much about God as I do about Bulgaria.

I wouldn't want to let you off too lightly. It's a little late to be closing the barn door, that horse has already got out.
