Bush Is Dead---I Mean This Boy is Politically Dead, Dead
Edited on Sat Jul-12-03 06:53 PM by Starpass
I've been here since the beginning of the Democratic Underground which started on the day Bush took office. I have been totally pessimistic about our chances, this country, our future, etc. So, this isn't exactly freakin' Polyanna, but I am buying the bottle of bubbly and putting it on ice!! Stuff has changed unbelievably in the past few days.

Ironically, I use to stay glued to the latest news, but for the past few weeks I gave up and have become "ignorant America" and paid little attention; BUT in that state of ignorance, I have to tell you that I've been blasted by the little news I've seen and Bush is bleeding all over the bar room floor! Whichever network news my hubby was watching tonight, I heard them say that Bush's approval rating has sunk like a stone after the "nuke lie in the State of Union" address to 54% and going doooown fast!! Last night I caught literally 3 seconds at the end of one of the nightly news broadcasts where a GI Joe Mom, decked out in yellow ribbons, was stating "and my son could be next" (i.e., picked off in Iraq)..and the anchor saying "not good news for Bush". I told you that once these military families get their heads out of their asses and start realizing how their family member is being used and abused by this goon that they would start bitching and it would mean the end of him. It has started---thank god, finally!!! And then there is Britain.

They are firing back tonight 'cause the Bush slime want to blame it all on them and the "poodle" is fighting for his life. They will have lot's to lob his way. But the greates thing is that the White House handlers have NO ploys left...they really don't. They wanted "lots of war" to keep the people charged up; but now the people don't trust him and will not go along. An attack in the US of A is another nail in his coffin because the people will see it as not protecting the Homeland and lying about our security. Congress has passed a resolution telling him to seek NATO, UN, etc. help in Iraq---an admittance even by his own party that this is a bankrupting, fucking, fucking mess over there.....and I want to see Bush personally have to suck the dick of every European leader he shit on to get help out of this "bankruping the USA" mess. Of course, the economy is never, never going to soar to the Clinton heights that all the stockmarket gamblers are thinking will happen. This boy is politically on life support and so are all the tricks Rove and his crime family can dream up-----they won't fly with the public anymore. I predicted he would be at this approval number by late fall. I didn't see the "nuke" lie...He's going down even faster than I thought. Enter stage LEFT, the Dems............GO GO GO GO...THE NATION IS NOW READY FOR IT!!! So, for Christ's sake scream until your tonsils blow. It's now or never.

4. Flash--oh, how I'm waiting for the whores ( in general) reaction to the
idiot's numbers tumbling to the bottom. Obviously, if the whores or the whoring networks keep covering up for him and telling us he's really Jesus in disguise and that he's super smart, goregous, the greatest thing since the founding papas, etc., they are going to have a lot of people flip off their programs and their networks. They aren't going to have the audience to do their Nazi propaganda on...and all these whores have to produce the ratings or the big boys look for replacements. Even the corporate whores who own these networks have to decide if they want to go down whoring for him or they want to "charm the public". After seeing responses from Matthews who has no principles, political analysis abilitities, etc. (watched how pathetic he has been for years and wonder how they hire this douche bag)and watching him always swaying the way the political winds are blowing, I say that if he is any indication then a whole bunch of whores are suddenly going to be "all smart" about all the terrible things of this administration, pretending like they just did great journalistic research and found out all the bad things. In a word, Russert may try to glass things over for Bush but he is on the losing side and within weeks we will see the whore trying to turn totally different tricks!!!

22. I hope most of the media defends Junior
I want every desperate hack in the public eye to come forward and try to mimimize habitual lying for joyriding greed-killing adventurism. Let's let them all scramble and twist as they try to hold the chopper in the sky as the rotor's been shot off. It's important for the world to see the true colors of the Candy Crowleys and Wolf Blitzers.

There will be some who go straight for the story, some with rapacious ethical zeal, some with opportunistic calculation and some with sheer instinct. That's fine.

This is huge, and I hope enough people are called upon to stand fast with the pretender to the throne. Pretense of impartiality or liberal bias will be stripped to the bone.

With any luck, this could be the ruining of many despicable swine.

It's sorta like the Democratic Candidates: we may not have to "settle"; we may be able to have just what we want. Me? I want public humiliation and career destruction for the curs who have sold their species for cheap trinkets and passing glory.

PM calls off medal ceremony in US

By Oonagh Blackman and Paul Gilfeather

TONY BLAIR has ditched plans to receive a "thank you" medal from President Bush next week for backing the war on Iraq.

The Prime Minister and the President scrapped the ceremony as it would have triggered a furious backlash in Britain where controversy over the war is raging.

Mr Blair is engulfed in a growing crisis over the legality of the war and the Daily Mirror can reveal American officials have had intensive talks with the PM's aides over the past week.

Pictures of a smiling Mr Blair having the Congressional Gold Medal pinned on him by President Bush would have been beamed around the world at a time when British and American soldiers are still losing their lives in Iraq.

It would have been a public relations catastrophe and stirred up fresh fury in the Labour ranks. Democrats in the US have also fiercely opposed the idea of a medal as they have branded the war illegal and accused President Bush of misleading the American public.

Mr Blair arrives in Washington on Thursday to make a speech to Congress, a rare honour for a foreign leader. The Washington visit is the first leg of a round-the-world trip by Mr Blair and his wife Cherie.

7. Pa--I don't think this is going to be a friendly visit
Especially since the slime are trying to pin it on the Brtish and British Intelligence.....I think Blair is going to go apeshit while the lying Bush tells him "Tony, this must be the words of my over enthusiastic operatives; but did not come from this White House, trust me"---you know, the same shit lines the Bush campaign used about the crap spread in the South about McCain during the 2000 primaries. I think Blair now can see the handwriting on the wall and will have to attack Bush. Hell, if he doesn't, the next thing the ignorant rednecks who run this nation will do is hate the British and want to kill them like they do the French. Tony better come clean and his best defense is to tell the world that Bush lied to him like he lied to the world and to his own US Congress!!!--and the Dems need to make fast pals with Tony (come on Bill, give him a call and work out a deal to save Tony and kill Bush)...........

20. I'm certain that it's not
going to be a friendly visit...don't forget, Bill's been in contact w/ the poodle, and you can bet there's been a whole lot of shaking going on to nail the dork and his crooked buds! However, what happens when someone's cornered?--they do whatever to try to save themselves, and it wouldn't surprise me IF the pukes start knocking UP the "teralerts"...Take notice how they've ALL been "jumping ship" one by one...

6. Suddenly, some rumblings from the MiddleEast
Israelis Threaten to Arrest or Deport Arafat

Dunno if this could be a distraction that'll help the chimp, or an unwelcome burden for a public shellacked by two years of tumultous world events. I'm sensing (hoping) the latter, but who knows?

11. You know what, Charlie---I don't think the people are "into" the ME
I really don't. They are into a guy who lied to them and sent soldiers to Iraq who have become the national passtime there of "kill a GI a day". I think most Americans think that the ME will forever be, well, the ME...i.e., an ever ongoing mess. I don't think they know, or care, if they arrest Arafat or Sharon and send whomever wherever. I think a lot of ignorant Americans wouldn't even identify the names Arafat or Sharon. But, they know about their boys and Iraq and that a pampered, AWOL, cokesnorter lied to them. Arafat "don't play in Peoria", if you know what I mean.

Gawd, I certainly hope so. These endless months of mindless Bush worship has gotten me paranoid enough to think that there's almost nothing that can't be twisted or spun to his benefit.

13. Wonderful post Starpass
...and don't forget Wolfie's poll on Friday. It's still open and looks pretty darn grim for the simple-son.

Whom do you blame for the mistake in the president's State of the Union address on Iraq?

President Bush 93% 17776 votes
British intelligence 2% 293 votes
CIA 5% 1037 votes

Total: 19106 votes

I think we have good candidates. Just so they don't trash each other.

23. Unfortunately, Americans still don't give a shit about anyone but themselv
It's about what THEIR kids and what THEY are going through. They could give a rat's ass that we invaded a defenseless nation and murdered thousands of her citizens. This means even if we stop this misadventure, we have learned absolutely nothing that will prevent the next testoterone soaked blood bath. American's are still greedy self-absorbed fools.
