Daily U.S. Casualties 9/12/2003
As of Thursday, 290 U.S. soldiers have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq, according to the Department of Defense.
The British military has reported 49 deaths. Denmark's military has reported one death.
On or since May 1, when President Bush declared that major combat operations in Iraq had ended, 152 U.S. soldiers have died in Iraq, according to the latest Defense Department figures.
The latest casualties reported by the U.S. military:
Near Balad, Iraq, a U.S. soldier was killed Thursday when a truck tire he was changing exploded, the U.S. Central Command said. The latest identifications reported by the U.S. military:
Army Staff Sgt. Joseph E. Robsky Jr., 31; Elizaville, N.Y., died Wednesday in Baghdad attempting to disable a bomb; assigned to the 759th Ordnance Company, Fort Irwin, Calif.
Army Spc. Ryan G. Carlock, 25; Macomb, Ill., died Tuesday northwest of Baghdad of injuries sustained when his fuel truck was attacked; assigned to the 416th Transportation Company, 260th Quartermaster Battalion (Petroleum Support), Hunter Army Airfield, Ga.

I'm thankful so "few" (as compared to what?) troops have died, yet I know there are untold numbers being injured and maimed everyday. Where are the stats on that?
Those wounded troops deserve that same level of reporting and recognition that the K.I.A.'s do. Bush should pin those Purple Hearts on the troops himself.
