6. Voting period...
On another website there is some idiot saying that NO WHERE in the Constitution is it guaranteed that we have the right to vote.

This, I assume, is excluding the amendments...

3. Not a question for the lazy.
The constitution says a number of little things about right to vote.

Pretty much leaves qualification to the states---except for amendments saying it cant be denied for age when voter over 18, for race, for sex. And an amendment eliminates the poll tax as a qualfication. That's about it.

4. another point is that there's no right to vote directly for prez/veep.
rather, 535 electors are apportioned to the states, and they are selected in a manner of each legislatures' chosing.

it just so happens that all of them chose to determine them by holding an election, in which case the right of women, blacks, 18 year olds, etc., all hold.

theoretically, a legislature could decide to make the electors gubernatorial appointees, or drawn based on a lottery. this would be permitted by the constitution, though it would lead (one would still hope!) to a huge political outcry. and a quick amendment to prevent this.

5. Your "laziness"
will NOT be forgiven. It is part and parcel of the grotesque caricature
of themselves Americans have become. :spank: Forgive me for being so frank.
