I am not a Lieberman supporter...
BUT I can't believe what I just heard from the woman who works with me (a wingnut, of course). I'm still picking my jaw up off the floor. She just said, "I don't know why John (sic)Lieberman doesn't just get out of the race, I think it's just politically incorrect that a Jewish person would run for president." I said to her, "you mean Joe Lieberman, and why shouldn't a Jewish person be able to be a candidate?" She responded that it was just wrong, because he would be able to get nothing done in the middle east. It would be just as bad as if a Palestinian ran for president. I told her I couldn't believe that anyone would say anything like that. I'm not sure what else to say... her ignorance is astounding... everything is black and white.

1. neither am I and I agree with your frustration
John Lieberman I havent heard of him, did she really say John or did you make a mini booboo if ya did thats fine. I agree with you :puke:. In fact my guy has a simliar thing that the bigots will say, "ummm Kucinich thats not an American name" bull. People said the same thing about JFK that his Catholicism is a deciding factor.

2. She really did say "John"

and when I corrected her, she said "Whatever." She has been running her mouth all day (our offices are about 25 feet apart and I have no door that I can close). My personal hell.
On edit: When I mentioned that saying that it was wrong for a Jewish person to run for president, I said that it was the same as saying that a Catholic or any other religion shouldn't run. She couldn't see my point, of course.

5. John Lieberman heh
That really is stupid, its eerily resmeblance to what they said about JFK being Catholic. Now Lieberman should just withdraw because hes Jewish. Sad country we live in when people think like that.

3. I don't care for Lieberman but his being jewish is not the problem
for me. My senator, Russ Feingold is a Jew and one of the best senators in the chamber and would be a wonderful president. (also my other senator Herb Kohl is Jewish).

8. she thinks Dean is a rabble rouser
and has no use for him either. One good reason for me to start retirement proceedings soon and get my ass out of conservative San Diego.

Feingold what a great guy too, I agree. I also like Bernie Sanders, and of course who could forget the late Paul Wellstone. Loads of others too.
