maybe everyone knows this already but...
remember how it seemed to piss our gov't off when the iraqi scientists could not be interviewd without a "minder"...
well, our gov't won't let any FBI, CIA, FAA, etc people be interviewed without ...you guessed it... a "minder".

that makes sure the person being interviewed 1)stays on message 2)doesn't give too much info.
In other words, prevents the interviewee from being candid
