Enough with the stupid rumors and conspiracies!

Lately, a lot of spooge is being tossed around about candidates who are not running or have not declared. People have been talking about "drafting" Gore, Biden, Clark, Byrd, Hillary, etc.

Much of this is being whipped up by the media, and it is especially annoying when the person in question has stated repeatedly that they will not run.

Conspiracies abound too. Some suggest secret pacts between candidates or secret deals made with unknown interest groups.

I'm not sure what is the point of all of this. Are people implying the current crop of candidates are inept? Are they bored? Scared? What gives?
