New Right Spin: Dem Candidates Bashing Bush Incites Our Enemies
Edited on Fri Sep-12-03 08:22 PM by sparosnare
Yesterday, I heard various repugs complaining that the people of this country should not speak out against * during this time of war.
Well today, they've included the Democratic candidates in the mix. Heard it on FAUX news. If you can stomach it, Scarborough will do a segment on it tonite.
So what is this leading to? Suspending all forms of dissent and debate including the election? Could be a way * can get around a debate. Wouldn't want the Democratic nominee rubbing his nose in the dirt on TV where our enemies might see it.

1. Our Enemies don't need all that much Inciting
This is a common fallback position when one is defending the indefensible. It is amazing that it often works.

The Party has been making that argument for years.

3. Well,
the freepers suddenly realized that their arguement about disagreeing with the President being un-American didn't work, as we progressives asked them to explain their position during the Clinton years. (though there is still one clown who insists that the 'lies' Clinton did were far, far worse than anything Bush has done!) So they have unearthed 'the enemy' arguement.

4. My dislike for Biden centers around his behavior on Tweety's show
on the day that Daschle complained about the smirking chimps failure at diplomacy. This was before the invasion. Daschle was taking fire for Tweety and guests about how this kind of talk gave aid and comfort to the Iraqis. Biden's only comment was that we should just all shut up. He didn't defend Daschle and IMHO, he could have done it easily. He could have said to imagine one Iraqi private to another, saying: "Boy, we safe now, Daschle critisized Bush. I was worried there for awhile."
The idea that Daschle was doing anything seamly was ludicrous, but Tweety and company were too busy fellating the chimp to see logic and reason.
I think now, though, they are grasping for straws. The idea of the good warrior king Bush is as dead as their great grandfathers.

9. Biden said that?
Doesn't surprise me. I am so tired of being told to be good and keep our mouths shut, as if it somehow makes the US look bad. * and his cronies have done that all by themselves.

10. Seeing Americans cower in fear, afraid to criticize bush
and giving up their civil liberties without even a whimper INSPIRES our "enemies" to keep up the pressure (attacks) on us for the simple reason that their plan appears to be working!

F*cking STUPID Rumfilled...

11. You are absolutly correct.
The enemy is bu$h&co. cheney, rummy, That wolf guy, etc. Of course it incites them. They all have a problem with the truth interfering with them taking over the world.

12. This seems to be the latest blast fax
I heard this coming from Al Heig the other night on Scarborough. Immediately following his comments on came Wesley Clark talking about the meaning of democracy and when he was fighting in Vietnam part of what he was fighting for was the right of the protesters to voice their dissent. What this election is going to come down to is whether or not this nation will continue as a representative democracy. Damn them. Damn them all.

Paul Krugman was so right on today in the NYT.

One thing is evident; we all need to work together and fight. We have a war of our own to win.

13. Democrats need to come out strong on this issue
Call these babies what they are and tell them to shut up with their bullshit.

Dean and the others need to bring this issue to the front and make it into the joke it is.

They are saying that running for president against Bush is treason. It's time for the Democrats running to attack the right wing media on this, before it gets out of hand.

Just, "bring um on" seemed to work quite well when it comes to inciting our enemies. Give me a break. The contempt I hold these people in can't be measured.

18. Bush incites our enemies
Nothing like an invasion / occupation to get them going. Just like shoving a stick into a hornet's nest, if you ask me...

This is 60's reprise. Anyone who was against Nixon, incited our enemies and did not support our troops. Outright unpatriotic.
Anti-American Communist Sympathizer's and Outside Agitators...

Bush is beginning to lose it and the whining is just getting started, fasten your seat belts.

19. Democracy is unpatriotic
Don't be surprised to see the Party start seeding the concept that a vote for the challenger is equivalent to a vote for whoever the neocons are attacking as part of their October Surprise.

"A vote for (anyone but Shrub) is a vote for Kim Jong Il."

Any candidate who wishes to survive much beyond the primaries would be well advised to start hammering home the message that yes, Virginia, elections were held and incumbants were unseated during WWII.

20. Osama won?
Sounds like that's what they're trying to tell us. That we can't have free speech anymore. And if Mullah Ashcroft gets his way, we won't have any freedoms at all (except republicans, who will have the freedom to call Democrats anything they want, and accuse us of any and all horrid things).

they've been saying this since 9/11. Can't talk bad about our dipshit "president" because, dontcha know, WE'RE AT WAR. I guess their plan goes like this: IRAQ = ENDLESS QUAGMIRE = WE WILL NEVER EVER BE ABLE TO PATRIOTICALLY BASH THE "PREZ"
