Did anyone else notice the eerie Rumsfeld quote on 911
Heard it on Countdown with Keith Olberman.

First of all, the slogan "Never Forget" is terrible. We need to forget, we need to heal, we need to let go.

"Never Forget" remind me of some type of Israel/Palestine celebration of eternal hatred.

But on to Rummy. Rummy was speaking and the soundbyte was something like "Let us never forget the reason why we fight"...

It was as if he was announcing, "We created 9-11 to give you a reason to fight the wars we had planned, because we knew you'd never do it without another Pearl Harbor, just like we said in our PNAC mission statement"

Can it get any more transparent?

1. I have heard that line too
It just makes me want to scream "But there isn't any bloody connection between Iraq and Al Quaeda" it makes no sense! But typical that they are trumpeting military actions with shameless 9/11 slogans.

Its all the same.

Which of these losses didn't serve a political purpose?

5. Rummy said this one early in his talk
Edited on Fri Sep-12-03 10:59 PM by steviet_2003
He was noting the first national day of rememberance a month after 9-11 and said that it was: "a moment to steel our country for the war that was just about to unfold."

While in truth, I know what he really meant was: "a moment to steal our country for the war that was just about to unfold."

do you think he was laughing as he wrote this??

6. Every time that EVIL F**K puts in an appearance
I wish someone would interrupt with:

How do you feel about being responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American soldiers and the wounding of thousands of our troops just to fulfill your PNAC fantasy?

"Where are those weapons of mass destruction you said were in and around Tikrit?, Why didn't you, the pentagon boss, order troops to seize suspected WOMD sites? Why did you seize the oil fields..
Why won't you allow the Iraqi people chose their leaders not one you install?"

"How do you sleep at night, knowing you are personally responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of people for no legitimate reason?"

Do you truly believe in the existence of Hell?

9. Maybe a poll to find out:
Is Rummy only delusional, or also greedy?

Is Cheney an evil madman or just infinitely greedy?

Ashcroft ..?

10. I think it's the title of a book - "Why We Fight."
Maybe Rummy has been reading.
