Edited on Fri Mar-18-05 11:08 PM by tuvor
From James "call-me-Jeff-because-James -is-too-hard-to-pronounce" Guckert at http://www.jeffgannon.com:

"Liberals say they support our troops but not the war, but nonetheless they will stage an anti-war rally."

Because we don't fucking support the fucking WAR, fucking idiot.

(BTW, Guckert, "but nonetheless" is a redundancy error a real journalist wouldn't make.)

ON EDIT: See posts #8 and #15. To be fair, I wasn't completely accurate. Still...

Well, we can see logic isn't an easy thing for him so I can truly understand why he is a Bush supporter.

6. A couple days ago...
he was asking for a presidential pardon for Terri Schiavo.
Must be hard for him these days...not getting compensated
for being a WH whore and all.

As far as his journalistic ability goes, he got what he paid for.
And $50. doesn't buy much.

17. Here's what he wrote:
March 11, 2005

"Terri Schiavo, a brain-damaged woman in Florida is due to be starved to death now that a judge will allow her husband to remove the feeding tube that has been keeping her alive. The President's brother, Gov. Jeb Bush has been trying to prevent this from happening. The President has the absolute power to grant pardons. Will he intervene to save Terri Schiavo from what is essentially a death sentence?"

And may I add: :puke: :puke: :puke:

That site is laughable. If Gannon/Guckert/Whatever-He-Calls-Himself-Next had a brain then he would be ashamed. I wonder if he realizes that his site looks like a Landover Baptistesque parody. :D

8. Full quote
"Liberals say they support our troops but not the war, but nonetheless they will stage an anti-war rally outside Ft. Bragg on the second anniversary of the liberation of Iraq. I have no doubt the protesters will get lots of media coverage - but that is a good thing - Americans should see exactly who these people are and what they represent."

I think he's saying that because they're rallying outside the fort, it's more toward the troops than the war. I don't agree, but the actual quote doesn't make him look completely retarded.

15. What can I say? I got stuck at "anti-war rally".
And I didn't read too much into the date of the protest. Sorry if I took things out of context; it wasn't intentional.

"Lost of media coverage," huh? Just like two years ago?

(I *must* be living under a rock. I didn't know Iraq had been liberated. :eyes:)

22. Check out the link he provided...
These are military families! The idiot must not have even read it.

Soldiers' families to hold anti-war rally at Ft. Bragg

"Military families and veterans are helping organize a major anti-war rally outside Fort Bragg in North Carolina that could draw several thousand people Saturday, the second anniversary of the Iraq war.

Groups such as Iraq Veterans Against The War and Gold Star Families for Peace, whose members have lost relatives in Iraq, will play a prominent role.

"We figured if we formed and used our grief in a positive way that could be very powerful," says Cindy Sheehan, a member of Gold Star Families For Peace from Vacaville, Calif., near San Francisco.

Sheehan says U.S. soldiers in Iraq need to come home, but she knows her son will not be among them. Casey Sheehan, a 24-year-old Army specialist, was killed in April during an ambush in the Sadr City section of Baghdad...."

I'm not very good with jokes but I think I got this. That's supposed to be Cheney right? And Bush is supposed to be the nut in the White House, right? So Bush is the nut that Cheney will eat for breakfast? I think it's funnier in my head (if I have the right idea of course).

33. It HAS to mean SOMETHING, Jay.
I think of it as the squirrel's scavenger nature, the way they hoard nuts and bury them only to be unable to locate them in the spring representing Bush's inability to find oil in Texas. Of course Bush is perplexed by this parallel that's as plain as the nose on his face: the squirrel mocks his business failures, but he can't countenance the fact that he can fail.

So? Am I right? Huh? Huh? Tell me!

While I am on hiatus from the White House briefing room, I'm going to post the question I would have asked had I been there. It will be interesting to see if anyone else asks it.

On hiatus? Doesn't he realize he is NOT going back to the WH? LMAO!
