Did you watch CSPAN? What was the Scarborough article?
I woke up and turned on the TV and the drone was reading an article about MSNBC and something misleading. It also mentioned Scarborough but I wasn't paying attention enough. Can anyone clarify?

4. Scarborough should be fired for this.....Another MSNBC hire needs to go
the way of Savage. To believe that Scarborough is getting money from his Lawfirm and yet didn't know his partner had a suit against the company producing Osmote is ridiculous. It's a horrible conflict of interest.....using the public airwaves to inhance his lawfirm.......Unbelievable.

5. He knew....
He just thought it didn't apply to him. Because right-wingers have had their way with the media for years now. It's a classic abuse of power.

8. I had no idea
Scarborough is a lawyer? And is Mike Papantonio's partner?

Puke, I'm so disillusioned. Papantonio went to the same law school I did, and he's highly regarded as defender of the injured, the little guy, the beleaguered worker, etc. Plus, he's written several sort of inspirational books for lawyers, along the lines of "how to be a lawyer without burning in hell later".

I'm bummed to learn that he's partners with someone so despicable. Not to mention that his going on the show and crapping on a company he is suing without disclosing his interest is unethical.

:puke:

10. i hate scarbo but his bitch about pressure treated lumber killing our kids
Edited on Sat Sep-13-03 12:08 PM by ElsewheresDaughter
is true and i personally thank him for trying to get it out there!!!!
EPA banned the stuff last year and bush allowed lumber industry to still sell the poison and rammed thru law protecting them against law suits! the pressure treated wood causes kidney, liver cancer and a host of other cancers in our children and the EPA says it has to be disposed of as hazardous waste...it can NOT be burned NOR put in landfills...also the soil surrounding all playgreounds must be remediated and put in hazard waste facility ...this is serious and DUers with children need to take action!.... Google "Pressure Treated Lumber/EPA banned/Health Risks"
here are a few sites:

East Bay Group Pushes To Ban Arsenic-Laced Playground Sets

http://www.1800lawinfo.com/practice/overview.htm?topic=Pressure%20Treated%20Wood

Over 90 percent of all outdoor wooden structures in the United States are made with arsenic-treated lumber. In nationwide tests, dangerous levels of arsenic were found on the surface of "pressure treated" wood purchased at The Home Depot and Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse.

The aresenic is a key ingredient in a pesticide called Chromated Copper Arsenate, or CCA. Arsenic is poisonous and a known carcinogen. In fact, Arsenic is on EPA's very short list of chemicals known without question to cause cancer in humans.

Exposure to pressure treated wood can cause: lung cancer, bladder cancer, skin cancer, kidney cancer, prostate cancer, cancer in the nasal passages, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and possibly death

24. Damn, I wish I knew that
I worked as an electrician for 4 years, and on new residential construction sites, was exposed to pressure treated lumber quite a bit. Hell, I handled lots of it.

Egads, when do the carpenters start dropping like flies? If that is true, there should be a pandemic of cancer among carpenters coming.

What MSRNC performers do SOMETIMES have consequences? But only when they go this far, or like WIENER/"Savage", but not Tweety with the Kathleen WILLEY gun incident?

19. ALSO...
...there's a blurb in Vanity Fair this month about Scarborough and Lori Klausitis (the aide who was found dead in his FL office under VERY suspicious circumstances).

AND in next month's Hustler magazine, the whole expose of the Scarborough-Klausitis matter that was originally run in onlinejournal.com will be printed. It's long and detailed.

21. WTF is MSNBC waiting for???
Edited on Sat Sep-13-03 08:48 PM by lib71
Are they even serious about being a "news channel" or competitive in any way? I mean, not only is Ass Eyes a GOP POS and pathetic ripoff of O'Really, he's not drawing flies for his carcass of a show. What's his rating down to this week...0.2?
:wtf:

My guess us that Dead Intern-borough has one of two things:
1) Pictures of Erik Sorenson getting intimate with a sheep
or
2) a threat to kill one MSNBC intern each week unless he's kept on the air.

edit: added "'s"

25. This story illustrates perfectly
how far our media has fallen. 5 years ago. He probably would have been gone by now. Fired. 10 years ago. Absolutely. But now? You can have absolutely no standards whatsoever and keep your job. It's an insult to the majority of journalists who are hard-working and honest. It's like the small percentage of ministers and priests who are criminals. They get the press and besmirch the reputations of their brethren. MSNBC must be totally without dignity. Are they competing with FAUX for the most reckless "news" organization? Sickening.

26. two things
saw ratings the other day and he's far above Tweety. He was higher than I thought possible. Two, I heard him joke one day and say "I'm the one who killed a girl in my office, you know".
