Terri Schiavo Endorses Bush Social Security Plan

FLORIDA- Minutes after President Bush signed a bill into law that would allow Mary and Bob Schindler to seek intervention from a federal court, Terri Schiavo responded joyously.

"I looked at Terri and told her, 'President Bush is saving you, baby,'" said Mary Schindler. "My darling little girl looked right at me and signed with happiness. That isn't the sigh of someone whose already dead, but the sigh of someone very happy with our President."

"For a long time, she's been saying 'mama' and 'help me' and she even stood up the other day and did the Hokie Pokie, but today Congress has energized her to a new level. Terri said 'private accounts' and then laughed hysterically," said Bob Schindler.

President Bush rushed back from vacationing in Texas to sign the bill in support of Schiavo. After hearing Schiavo's response, Bush said that it was worth the effort.

"At first, I told Dick (Cheney) to stop nagging me and that I'd get to it next month like I did with the Bin Laden Memo," said Bush. "But, I'm so glad I ended my 6 week vacation. I'm heading back to Crawford next week and invitin' Terri out for some sunbathing and intellectualizin."

The Schindler's seek to save Terri from a horrible, cruel death by starvation. They believe that with therapy, within six months Terri will be employed and can contribute to her own private social security account.

"Given the way Terri's face lights up when we say President Bush's name, we expect that she'll be casting her vote for Jeb Bush in 2008," said Bob Schindler. "And we don't expect it to be an absentee ballot either."
