Any critical comment or celebratory remark on FR will be posted here.

Here is the first one in response to a mourner:

To: Samwise

and more applauding of the death of Paul Wellstone:

There was a SD governor who died in a crash earlier."

Are you thinking of Senator Wellstone? If so, I sure hope we see a more dignified memorial to Governor O'Bannon.

1. Hoosier Republicans are mourning O'Bannon, as is everyone else
I don't expect people in FR who are in this world by virtue of their families' inbreeding to understand any concept above that of an imbecile.

7. Question for you, IG
I'm only asking this because we do things so bass-ackward here in Louisiana. Does Indiana elect a Gov/Lt. Gov ticket or are they elected indepentently? Here, we have a stick-in-the mud conservative republican governor and a left-of-center democratic Lt. governor. Seperate elections.
What I'm driving at, I guess, is I'm assuming your new governor is a Democrat. Right?

thanks,
ronzo

10. He is - they were elected together and he is widely respected
Lt. Governor (now Governor) Joe Kernan. Last winter he stunned the state when he announced after 7 years as Lt. Governor that he was not going to run for Governor. He was the Mayor of South Bend, IN prior to becoming Lt Governor.

2. I want an autopsy
I am so sick of democratic politicians dying and their seats are vulnerable to republicans...

Carnahan....Wellstone....O'Bannon

sorry to sound like a conspiracy nut, but one has to wonder.....

3. On that
O'Bannon was term limited and could not run next year. It was an open seat situation anyway. If Lt. Gov. Kernan can be persuaded to change his mind and run he will have the incumbency advantage. The Karl Rove candidate is former Bush OMB director Mitch Daniels. He will have to explain to Indiana voters how he will balance the state's budget in accordance with state law when he presided over the pissing away of the federal budget surplus and the explosion of the deifict.

8. Don't forget how JEB won in Fla.. Lawton Chiles died suddenly
.. of a heart attack, just months before the election where he was way ahead of Jeb in the polls. Lawton died suddenly, Buddy McKay took his place and lost to JEB.

Apart from the Wellstone digs, it's fairly respectful.
