Near the beginning of the book the author states that the planet Venus...over 4 years...traces the shape of what we call a star or pentacle in the sky.
True or artistic license?

I don't have a link, but I've heard this before I read the book. And isn't Venus the "Eastern Star" that the masonic auxiliary is named for?
I liked "The DaVinci Code" a lot. Very entertaining read.

2. Angels and Demons is good too! |
|
It's an earlier Dan Brown book along the same lines as DaVinci Code though it takes place in Rome. Also, Deception Code, even earlier than the other two. It's a good read - about CIA, NSA and NASA. Quite a ride!
I wondered about the authenticity of that passage too, but didn't really care.. LOL

9. Maybe similar to that symbol for nuclear things |

Just guessing, cause I wanted to. I liked the book very much, and was glad it did not come to a hokey ending.

"Damascus Gate" by Robert Stone. Eery end-times theme in Jerusalem.

<shrug> it does make a star shape.
Great book. Take a look at the painting, The Last Supper, spooky. I'd never noticed it before. There's a chick at the table!

why we call that particular shape a 'star'...when it doesn't look anything like a real star.
This tidbit startled me as I thot it gave an interesting addition to the book...but I can't find anything that either confirms or disputes it.

11. If would be nice if, one day, we found out why the ancient world |

was so hugely impressed by that cute little dimple on the cheek of night.
What does Venus do? Influence tides? Weather? Anything?
Did it once? Why did people in the southern Americas feel such fear that they ripped human hearts out of human bodies when Venus was approaching?
