Jeers to the Bush White House |
|
Can someone link to today's issue of the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette? Whenever I try, I get as far as the banner ad on the top of the page and then it kicks me completely offline. You are looking for the Perspective page.
On Saturdays the page is filled with Cheers and Jeers. The first one today reads:
Jeers to the Bush White House for it's cold-hearted reaction the day Gov. Frank O'Bannon collapsed with a stroke. As O'Bannon underwent brain surgery and his family and constituents prayed for his recovery, the Bush White House said it would "have no immediate comment." Getting ready for a Bush-Cheney fundraiser in Nashville that evening must have overtaxed the compassionate president. Bush did fax a letter of condolences to the Govenor's wife, Judy, three days later.
FYI - Govenor O'Bannon died today. May he rest in peace and may his family be comforted by the extrordinary life he led.

4. There was something weird about that banner |
|
It flickered in a weird way when I clicked on it.
That "no comment at this time" BS from the Bush camp is absolutely shameful.

He just doesn't care. Simple as that. I'd never heard of O'Bannon and I was saddened for his his family.

6. Sickening, and in our paper yesterday,The Indianapolis Star |
|
the owner's son did an editorial about (keep in mind he had not passed away yet) whether or not this would be the end for the Bahy, O'Bannon run in Indiana.
Fusk these people, cold, calculating, heartless. Money and power, that is all they care about.
No wonder the twins drink and the niece is a crack head. These people suck, bigtime.

7. I was at the Indianapolis Air Show today |
|
When the Blue Angels were finished they brought the minster who'd done the blessing earlier to the mic and he announced the Gov. O'Bannon had passed away. He asked for a moment of silence and it was errie to see 100,000+ people stop and fall quiet...
God bless Governor O'Bannon, he was a great man, may he rest in peace.
