Poll question: What will the media say if Bush pulls a major upset and wins in 2004?
Nov. 2004. Bush is way behind in every poll going into the election. But he wins miraculously with 51% of the vote. There is no voter-verified paper trail.

How will the media spin it? What is the reason they will say the Dems lost?

The dismissal of exit polling. In the past, it was a highly reliable indicator of projected results.

Notice how those were tossed aside in 2000. That was the first step on the road to fraud.

That last choice in your poll is chilling, and we CANNOT let it happen again.

10. The exit polls in 2000 were correct.
They showed that Gore was winning.

2. They will blame the polls
Why?

Because a chaos and revolution are bad for the advertising business.

4. You forgot one (used extensively in Florida)
they will say that the Dems were too stupid to use the machines correctly and probably a lot were elderly voters who just had no idea how to use those new fangled machines. Then they will snicker and laugh.

9. How Far Behind
I'll allow three to five points for polling error and undecideds breakinbg a certain way but if * is behind by more than that in the final pre election polls I will smell a rat.

11. That's precisely why they are starting the spin already..

By the time the election happens, we will be all ready to accept that it was a "close race".."Murka is evenly divided"... "We're a 50/50 nation"..."Too close to call"..:puke:

They are complicit in the whole thing.. There is a "sudden death" mentality here.. Nothing is exciting enough. The sports metaphors abound, and the press eats it up.. Hell, WE eat it up. They know it.

We are being set up, BIG TIME.. The only way we will win is to outnumber them 5 to 1 on election day, and if we are united as a party..

The republicans love it when we are in disarray; it "proves their victory", they can spin it their way when we are not focused as a group. THEY are focused, even if their candidate is a lousy dispicable liar, they line up behind him as if he were the messiah.. He IS their messiah.

The press plays right into it with all the enthusiasm as if it were the Super Bowl..

Until we start getting serious about things like our FUTURE and the future of the whole planet, we will always be the ones with our noses pressed against the window, looking in, and wondering what happened..
