Patricia Heaton
Everybody loves Raymond.

Patricia Heaton last night on Entertainment Tonight in honor of Terri threatens to fast on Friday.

I am all for taking a stand, but what contradicting weirdo.

Doesn't she get it that Terri starving herself (or throwing up) is what got her into this medical mess.

What an honor to pay homage to a woman by starving yourself.

<rolls eyes>

Gee, I wish I had the rectitude to be moralistic in life or death for another person.

3. She's Ray Romano's wife on "Everybody Loves Raymond."
I don't watch the show, but I know her face. I can't remember any other notable roles.

BTW, that has got to be the most annoying show on tv.

edit: She also does really annoying commercials for Albertsons.

36. We Call Her Bitchy-Poo
She's on the Jewel commercials in the Midwest (owned by Alderson), and we boycott that store due to having her as their spokesperson...and have sent repeated letters to corporate to let them know. Seems lately I haven't seen her smug and arrogant mug on my TV, so maybe others have been doing the same.

The showboating by people who have no connection to this case is incredible...but then this is what the corporate media feeds on. Heaton plays this "Hollywood Conservative" role...the anti-Streisand or whomever. Without this, she'd be another bit player on a mindless TV show.

Just like I don't really care what most celebrities say about politics...including liberals (especially when it's obvious they really don't know what they're talking about), and I surely don't care what this wench has to say.

To read about MS. Heaton, and her stance...

She also claims to be a feminist, and this is her latest gig towards feminism...

I don't know, I always thought feminism was way overrated!

21. I CANNOT stand this woman!!
She is a favorite of Falafel/Loofah-man himself, and presents herself as going against the grain in the perceived overwhelming majority of liberals in Hollywood. She's a pain in the ass.

12. A relative of mine died of potassium deficiency heart trouble
Potatoes are the best source of potassium, with almost twice as much as a banana per serving. I was relieved to find that, because I'm allergic to bananas.

Hollywood Prespertarian (sp) if anyone cares. Personally, I'd love to take her Dumbo Ears, spin her around and hurl her into outer space... where her brain has been waiting for her.

The website ask for comments about the "Everyone loves Raymond" show and instead people post messages criticizing Patricia Heaton for her views on the Schiavo case. Not nice messages I might add.

28. I just "signed her guestbook", and I feel kinda mean...
Not QUITE mean enough that I wouldn't do it again, tho...

I wrote:

{So, let me get this straight: Terry Schiavo starves herself from 250 down to 110 pounds, and the bulemia-related potassium deficiency causes her to lapse into a coma where her brain rots into liquid...

And you are going to 'support' her with a HUNGER STRIKE?

Perhaps you could offer your own brain for transplant, since you are so obviously not using it for anything besides self-serving attempts to generate publicity for yourself.

I suppose your efforts are understandable: God knows your talent isn't attracting any attention!

Your CAREER should sue you for 'Defamation of Character'!

Goodbye.}

My only regret: The words 'for yourself' in the third paragraph are redundant and I should have edited them out.
That's gonna bug me now.

29. Her appearance on Entertainment Tonight pissed me off because
she's a spokesperson for Feminists for Life, an anti-abortion group. She basically slandered Michael Schiavo, saying he had been trying to kill her for years and that he was carrying on an affair, blah blah blah.

It's amazing. For a group of people that hate "Hollywood types" with a passion, the right-wingers can sure roll 'em out when they need 'em. Patricia Heaton, Pat Boone, Mel Gibson...They can get away with slander and defamation of character because they have Teri's best interests at heart. Honesty is obviously not a right wing value.

Do the people supporting the GOP not see the hypocrisy in this?

She had extensive plastic surgery to sculpt herself. So, apparently fasting isn't such a good idea, huh Pat? It was too inconvenient the first time around.

33. And, how about her being a good role model for body image?
Huh? That's where Terri Schiavo's problems REALLY started: she didn't fit the "ideal" of what a woman should look like. So, here's Patricia Heaton, who has publicly talked about her plastic surgery and semi-starvation diet and written a BOOK about it. Gosh, how about telling girls it's okay to be a size 12??? Huh????

32. Of COURSE she's fasting on Friday! It's LENT!
Edited on Thu Mar-24-05 07:19 AM by LostinVA
Catholics fast on every Friday during Lent. "Fasting" doesn't mean know what it used to mean. Give me a break. And, if she is truly going to go without ANY solid food, so what???? Like she eats more than 900 calories a day anyway.

I am so tired of these hypocrites who call themselves Christian. They should be ashamed of dishonoring Jesus' legacy. I'm not a Christian, but the guy was great.

on edit: I thought she was Catholic, not Presbyterian.

40. Standard "Everybody Loves Raymond" Script:
RAY (whining): I am home now after going out golfing with my buddies.

FRANK: Speaking of golf, your mother can't cook worth a shit.

MARIE: Well it doesn't look like you're missing any meals.

DEBRA: Ray! I have told you a million times that you are not allowed to go golfing with your buddies! Now take out the trash and mow the yard and why aren't you sensitive and did you forget our anniversary and the kids have been bugging me all day and youarealousyhusbandandfatheryouworthlessbum! I hate you and I hate your family and I am a shrill harpy control freak!

RAY (lovably stupid): Duhhhh...

ROBERT: I am freakishly tall.
