PHOTOS: Do ANY other families have loved ones at Woodside Hospice???
Do any of these "Christian" protestors care about their grief, their dignity, their privacy as they say goodbye to a loved one? Does this freak show HAVE to take place at the hospice? Or do they think "Teri" knows they are there? This political/Christofascist show is sick disgraceful.

Hasn't anyone on Fox got half an education? Someone explain to me how that woman on the grass (or is it the one carrying around the effigy?) is even mildly analogous to Rosa Parks or Anne Frank.

See what happens when you watch Fox for 30 seconds? Better than a good stiff dose of syrup of ipecac.

7. There are 71 other patients at the Florida hospice...
Another poster this morning linked to a sad column:

Connie Schultz
There are 71 other patients at the Florida hospice where Terri Schiavo stays.

When their loved ones visit Woodside Hospice in Pinellas Park, they must bear not only the grief of their own mounting loss but the accusations -- some suggested, some shouted -- of strangers indifferent to their suffering.

41. Other patients at the hospice
There was a terribly sad story a couple of days ago:

Pain of publicity intrudes on comfort for the dying
By DAVID KARP and CURTIS KRUEGER
Published March 22, 2005

PINELLAS PARK - As 73-year-old Thomas Bone prepared to die from incurable cancer, he had one wish.

He did not want to die alone, his family said.

So when a nurse at Hospice House Woodside told Bone's granddaughter to come Friday night, she ran from her room in the nearby family living quarters. She had no time to change out of her pajamas, and no time to grab her wallet.

If Jennifer Johnson had not been at the hospice where Terri Schiavo lives, she could have reached her grandfather quickly.

Instead, an officer stopped her and demanded identification - even though she says he had seen her come and go regularly. She called out to a hospice employee who vouched for her. Then she had to go through a metal detector.

37. Yeah, but do these people realize...
...that they are the judgmental, out-of-control jerks described in the Bible as those who will be "left behind"?

I've never believed in the rapture, but you really have to wonder--when you witness these charlatans using God to further their sick, twisted, political wants.

Doesn't the end times predict a wave of "false prophets"? The only false prophets I see today--are the religious wacknuts on the right--using God to further their political and legislative agendas.

They use religions like a smarmy used-car salesman uses manipulative sales techniques.

These freaks know nothing about Christian values, as I understand them to mean. Nothing about these disturbing people is peaceful, decent, loving, tolerant, gracious, humble or filled with compassion for the world. They're full of vitriol, bitterness and they thrive on believing that they're better than most people.

It's just sickening to witness this!

It's truly a cult and if you don't see things their way you get called an idiot etc. by someone and told you're out of reality etc. and they're right and you're wrong. These people are fake Christians. They think they're right but not. Out of control. If they really were Christians they'd know that God is waiting for her in Heaven and let her die with peace and dignity and understand the science but they've been so dupted with all the fake crap from these people in MSM. Talking to them is like talking to a zombie.

I never thought I'd find myself saying this, but this seems to be as compelling a need for a "free speech zone" as is possible.

If the religiously insane are keeping other people from visiting their beloved family members, they ought to be going to jail in droves.

This is beneath contempt--can someone assuage my fears that this is occurring ON the hospice site? Please?

60. They need to get those whackos the fuck out of there.
People should be allowed to visit their dying loved ones without being harrassed.

Do they have a permit?

They need to clear them off of that site before one snaps or the whole mob snaps. Those people are obviously mentally unstable.

61. Don't these people have JOBS? Oh, that's right, they voted for The Chimp!
They're probably out of work, so they have ample time to put on a four-star show of public piety. :grr:
