Bow-tie boy calls O'Reilly "schtick"
Edited on Sun Sep-14-03 12:36 PM by eleny
Tucker Carlson is on C-Span's Book TV right now. He said that BO's whole deal is predicated on the acceptance that BO is who he says he is. And that if BO is ever proved not to be what he says he is, then it's over for O'Reilly. And he said that O'Reilly's whole deal has a phoniness about it.

The Repugs are starting to sound as disorganized as they like to characterize the Dems.

4. Right LZ...
and he talks about his dad being an accountant so they were a working class family. Well, my dad worked in a factory in Brooklyn. My aunt worked as a bookkeeper in the accounting dept at Chemical Bank and we were all in awe of her.

BO doesn't know what it means to be working class and proud. He only appropriates the term and wears it like a bad fitting suit.

5. O'Reilley's blue collar act is like Al Jolsen in black face.
I come from a very blue collar background, myself- like most people (family is all diesel mechanics, truck drivers, construction workers, etc.).

Bill O'Reilley does a blue collar IMPRESSION... it's like whata rich man must imagine a blue collar guy is like. It's a caricature; gruff, simple, rude, stupid.
