Absolutely discusting. The doc was right he had none of the facts right and didn't even for a second re-consider if he did.

6. Beautiful!
Scarborough: Don't hassle me with facts and science.

God, you can't argue with people that have no shame and don't mind looking like assholes once they dig their heels in.

Scarborough did a nice job smearing the guy once he was off the air. Scarborough couldn't win a fair battle of wits I guess.

11. That's Right - there is no way to have a conversation with these people.
I live in blood red Indiana - and I can tell you I have stopped talking to so many of my friends and relatives in the last year. Because when politics or religion comes up - you always get to the point where they play their "stupid card." There is no way to trump the stupid card. The stupid card says "I'm willing to look so stupid that there will be no way for you to penetrate my thick skull with your logic and reason and you will walk away in total frustration." The sad part of it is - some of my rabid republican relatives are doing quite well financially - while lately I have been struggling. I feel like they have the trump card there too with - "If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?"

8. What I told MSNBC
I responded to their poll about information on schiavo's condition. Basically I said the only doctors to quote are the ones who testified under oath in the numerous court hearings. I also asked when did journalist stop verifying their stories before they run them. "Nobel Prize Nominated, UH?"

This case would be so clear if the only doctors we heard from were the the ones who testified in court after actually examining her.

"fact", only opinion. So 7 doctors agree on Schiavo's prognosis, but since one wacko disagrees, it's all up for "debate". As if there's no objective reality.

It reminds me of 1984- what was that line...? "Freedom is the freedom to say 2+2=4. If that is granted, all else follows".

16. You obviously are unaware of Operation Mockingbird and the
"CNN and PsyOps" article by Alexander Cockburn of counterpunch. It seems that payola and 'going along in order to get along' have become part and parcel of M$M for as long as I can remember.

17. scarface is definitely in the running for a douchebag of liberty medal
i had the misfortune of tuning in to a christian radio station today while traveling. the hosts said terri schiavo sat up and talked today, asking for her life...james dodson, focus on the family.

with this sort of mendacity swirling around, no wonder many who get their news exclusively from ther right wing media think what is happening is murder.

Abrams report off of MSNBC weblink...is this what you're talking about?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7328639/

The pic show almost no brain activity. HIPAA law (2003) was possibly broken in order to display this CT scan (from 2002), but due to the circumstances, I can understand why it happened. Congress' supoenaing of Terry Schiavo may also have unintentionally allowed this formerly private information to emerge publically too...since Medicare is funding Terry's care. Also any court actions may have allowed those records 'into the record'.

""Who has access to my medical records?...2. Government agencies may request your medical records to verify claims made through Medicare, MediCal, Social Security Disability, and Workers Compensation....
5. Your medical records may be subpoenaed for court cases. If you are involved in litigation, an administrative hearing, or a worker's compensation hearing and your medical condition is an issue, the relevant parts of your medical record may be copied and introduced in court.""
